Steven came back from his basketball practice just as the mail was being delivered to his room. He jogged the rest of the way to his dorm room and picked up the mail from in front of the door. "Thanks Perry!" he shouted to Perry the mail guy. Perry waved back, then Steven went into his room to check the mail. The mail only came once a week at this high school so sometimes there wold be a ton, and sometimes there would be nothing. But today, there were 5 letters and 1 package. "Finn!" Steven shouted into the room at his still sleeping room mate. "Mail's here. And you are mighty popular this week." He counted 4 letters and 1 package for Finn and 1 letter for him. Still not up, Steven threw the package at him, then when Finn fell of his bed, he began to open his letter.
"Dear Chosen One,
You have been selected for the ultimate gift
of a lifetime. Come to the address at the bottom of this
envelope at the selected time requested. Please dress your
best as the event where you receive this glorious gift is a
Masquerade ball. Have fun and go out for this event with
a stunning attire and mask. It may reflect on you later.

F."
Steven stared at the letter, wondering if it was a mistake; sent to the wrong room but he looked at the envelope and it said "Steven Kooley." It must be a prank he thought to himself. "What ya got?" Finn said in his heavy British accent. "I got a prank letter," he read the letter to Finn. Then they laughed. "Oh, ya know what? It could be real!" Finn said grabbing Steven by the shoulders. "Ya, maybe you were invited to a club or a cult meeting! I heard those were really popular now." Steven looked him. "You serious?" Finn nodded. "Hey, did I get one?" he looked through his letters, finding nothing then complained that it was no fair. "Well, I guess i'm in cult now." he smiled. Then reading the letter again, he realized that he needed a suit and a mask. "Hey, is Wendy still in that costume design class? And she's getting an A right?" Finn answered "B+ but yeah." Then, Steven ran out the room. "Where ya going?" Finn called after him. "To get ready for the party!" he yelled back.

Talia put her feet in the water of the pond. It was nice and cool. She swished her toes around causing the water to ripple. This will work she thought to herself. She was thinking bout the human's joining the Fae's tonight. She voted this was a good idea, but after hearing other Fae worry about what might happen and say it's a bad idea, she was starting to loose confidence in the humans. But she still had hope that it wold work, and she was excited for the ball. Humans to her were fun and weird. Then, she started humming a human song she had gotten stuck in her head, and continued to play around in the water. Then she remembered her dress and how she couldn't wait to wear it. But it was a little long. I'll cut it later. Maybe cut diagonal starting in the front at the knee and going down to end at the ankles. She smiled at the thought.
