Lalia woke out of bed that morning around ten in the morning. She yawned as she stretched out her arms to wake them up. She got up and went downstairs. She passed a mirror as she walked by and decided to put her long wavy blonde locks in a messy bun. She glanced around for her dad when she remembered that he has left on a business trip. She then finally noticed her black lab, Rex, jumping up at her. She opened the door for him and followed him out. Crush. She heard a strange noise of something being crushed before she looked down, and before her was a beautiful silky type of envelope. She then grabbed it and opened it up. It read:

"Dear Chosen One,
You have been selected for the ultimate gift
of a lifetime. Come to the address at the bottom of this
envelope at the selected time requested. Please dress your
best as at the event you receive a glorious gift. This is a
Masquerade ball you have been invited to attend. Have fun and go all out for this event with
a stunning attire and mask. It may reflect on you later.
Your Dearest Friends,
F."

In the bottom of the envelope was a time, date, and location. This party was tonight at nine at a fancy hotel near her. She thought this was very strange, but she decided to go to scope out this strange letter. She only had a little time to go out and get a masquerade outfit and mask since she has nothing to wear and she indeed planned to go all out for this.

Axel sat on his favorite long tree branch. He was sitting there dreading tonight. He knew that his race was dying out and this party was the only way to keep the Fae from dying out. They needed new people since that thing had wiped out most of the Fae population. Now he was now one if not the oldest Fae now living. It was sad since Fae lived to be eons old and he was only 1,010. He also didn't enjoy being around his people either. He preferred to be on his own and since he was now the oldest Fae around, the youngsters needed his advise, but somehow his advise opposing this new idea was overlooked for a new chance to get more Fae. He didn't like it. He did not trust humans for he had seen their dark nature and how they always turned against each other. They were pitiful creatures that did NOT deserve the chance of being turned into a Faerie. He despised this plan but, now they were gonna turn the deceitful humans into their race. He knew it wouldn't end well. He had done all he could in his power to oppose this plan, but he had been ignored. He sighed out before he gazed out to the glorious and nature filled Faerie realm. Those evil creatures do not even deserve to even have a glimpse of their land. He though to himself. He was looking forward for tonight's party so that the ignorant remaining faeries will see that the humans didn't deserve this chance . He was looking forward to being proven right all along.

Levi was walking around when he felt the strange urge to look up. His brown eyes spied Axel above the ground sitting on a tree branch. "I see you Treeman!" He called up to Axel jokingly. Levi quickly scaled the tree until he was sitting next to Axel on the tree branch. "Are you okay? Do I need to get someone?" Levi looked more closely at Axel's face. "No, you don't need a healer. Your face is always like that!" Levi laughed a little before shoving Axel's shoulder. "I'm only kidding. Are you mad about tonight or something?"

Madison was walking back up the driveway of her home with letters in hand. She just came back from the mailbox and was now hurrying to get back into the safety of her house. As soon as she heard the door close, Madison sifted through the mail. Her brow creased in confusion as she noticed two of the same envelopes. "Damian!" She called out to her brother. She set down the other mail on the couch as her confusion grew. Madison went in search of her brother and as soon as she found him, she handed him the envelopes. "They're for you and me. From someone, but there's no address on the envelope. Should we open it?"

Kimber sat quietly under the tall trunk of the tree, her back leaning against its rough bark. She like the solidness of it underneath her, is was grounding and reassuring. A promise that she would not fall. She stared unseeingly into the dawn. She could feel the sun rising on her face and basked in its warmth. Today was the day they had sent out the invitations to the humans for the masquerade ball. She understood the need for new blood and supported the notion, all though she knew a few of the other Fae's didn't. Sighing she closed her eyes and dozed, her hand resting lightly on the metal rings she kept looped through her clothes.

Damian nodded and said "I'll open mine first." He took the letter with his name from her and ripped it unceremoniously open. He pulled out the letter and skimmed over it quickly, reading aloud for Madison's benefit. "Dear Chosen One...been selected for the ultimate gift...Come to the address at the bottom ...selected time requested. Please dress your best...is a Masquerade ball. Have fun...reflect on you later. Your Dearest Friends, F." Damian snorted. "My dearest friend? I don't have many friends and I know none of their names have an F. in it...this seems suspicious. I don't think we should go, for all we know its an invitation to get kidnapped." He said, tossing the letter on the ground.

Alexa woke up to her alarm clock going off, she groaned and hit the snooze button. She rubbed her eyes and sat up then had to force herself to get out of bed. Once she did she got ready, after that she decided to go for one of her morning walks. When she opened the door she found a letter on the door mat and she curiously picked it up and opened it. After reading the letter she smiled brightly, Alexa was somewhat suspicious but at the same time she was excited she'd had never been invited to a Masquerade ball before.

Cayden woke up late in the afternoon. He sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes realizing it was 11:40 almost 12:00. After getting dressed and eating breakfast he walked outside to check the mail. Cayden walked to his mailbox then walked inside and scanned through the mail he tossed the mail aside that was junk but found an interesting envelope assigned to him. Cayden paused for a moment before opening the envelope and reading it. He frowned slightly but shrugged he had nothing else planned and didn't have anything better to do so he decided he would go.

Liliana's eyes shot open as the beeping of her alarm clock woke her up. Suppressing a groan, she quickly tapped the 'snooze' button. She glanced at the clock, looking at the time. 10:30 She usually woke up earlier, but she had been up late last night, finishing up a book that she had been reading. She climbed out of bed and forced herself to stand up and head to the restroom. She quickly got ready, before heading downstairs. She poured herself a bowl of cereal, along with some milk, before quickly eating her breakfast and heading outside to check the mail. She only had one envelope, probably because she had emptied the mailbox last night. She opened the envelope as she headed back inside, reading it as she walked.

She frowned, slightly, trying to remember if she had any friends with names that started with the letter, F. What if it was just some kind of prank? Or what if it was somebody trying to kidnap her? She kept thinking about it, wondering if she should go. She shrugged, deciding that she would check it out from the outside, and if other people were going and it wasn't some kind of prank, she would go.

Lalia quickly brought Rex in and jumped in her car. She was determined to look good for this since she was so shy. At this party where she would know no one she was determined to get out of her shell for this even if she knew this party would be a joke she might as well enjoy it. She jumped out of her car when she reached her friends mom dress bontique. She entered and her friend greeted her. She then started to look for the right dress.

Axel glanced at his friend. He wasn't in the mood for his jokes. He watched as he sat next to him and shoved him. He just looked at him not in the mood to somewhat insult him. "You know I don't support this. I know we need more numbers, but must we need to bring humans into it? I feel like they will expose us." He said grumpy. "I know that at least one of the humans will do something bad." He said with a grimace. "What do you think about these humans joining us?" He said wanting to know what he thought.

Levi shrugged. "I know we need the numbers, so I support it. The only thing I am not keen on is the humans over-abusing their powers. I'm just worried that they will be the ones to destroy us instead of lift us." With a sigh, Levi turned and looked out at the trees in front of them. "Maybe they will be the end of us, but they just might be what saves us. Just think about it. We are putting our entire future into another race."

Madison asked Damian with a raised brow.
