Ash laughs and lays on her back, after a while she calms and looks at the two of them before standing. Ash shifts to her beast form and goes back up to the tree to help Jason down

My eyes meet Iris's and suddenly I start to feel very awkward. I look away quickly, hoping she doesn't take it the wrong way. Suddenly I realize that we've spent the entire day together so far...alone. I don't know why I feel so awkward and strange suddenly, nothing changed between us. At least, I don't think anything did.

Jason
I wave Ash off and jump down from the tree just fine on my own. It's kind of like...a living building, except it doesn't move all that much. It's a strange way to think about it, but I suppose that it's accurate. It felt just like jumping out of a building, which I've had to do quite a lot before.

Ash nods and moves back down where she curls around him slightly

She turned back to the meat and felt strange.She took the meat down then and start to cut it into small pieces the could poke with twigs to eat.

I smile and gently stroke Ash's pelt(?). I look up and glance over at Haiden. If he stays around maybe I can help him with his survival instincts. It could be nice having another male around, especially if I find that I can relate to him.

Alex
Sensing some tension in the air I decide to ask a question that has an obvious answer, just to break the silence. "Are you okay?" I ask her, even though I can see that she isn't okay. Or at least, not completely. Maybe something did happen between us. I sigh inwardly.

"Let me explain. I work for a... let's say, company where we document various people with abilities, and if they want, train them. My job is to find people who don't know about their power yet." That was along the lines of the truth.

"Thanks." Elise let Jack comfort her. "I gave Wisher, that's the kitten who Charlie saved, to my uncle after his wife died." Elise said. "Do you have a pet?"

"So...you think I have powers of some sort?" I ask him, hoping that he will say yes. Though I assume that they can be very dangerous things, it would be so cool to have powers! And besides, he or someone else from his company can train me to use them.

I whistle, and reach out my gloved fist. Thor shoots out of the sky and perches where he always does when he's on my fist. I look over at Elise with a small smile. "This is Thor, my pet hawk," I tell her. Thor looks over at her curiously, trying to figure her out.
