" Anything else? " Sam asked.


Tom looked at the map. " It says we keep on going straight and turn right when he pass the church. The hospital should be on the left side. " He said.

She put one hand on her hip, and have a fake pouty face. "Oh, sure she is your sister," she replied flatly. Then a small idea popped into her mind. "Little girl, are you sure he's your brother? Do you remember anything? Did you remember him being there when you were born?" She asked, figuring he just saved her, and didn't actually protect her when she was born. "Yes, fanged humans. Does your brother, have fanged teeth?" She asked, slightly enunciating, so that Emily could see her fanged teeth. She turned to Peter, annoyed by him defending her. "Better she know now, than being confused forever.." She murmured. A small tear rippled out of her eye, angered by Peter. Her hands ached to yack the little girl into her hands. "No point protecting her. The vampires are producing.." She said. "I used to be a good person, just like Emily, but no one even dare to save me. And guess what happened? This happened," she added, getting somewhat taller, showing her fangs, her eyes flashing white. "Someday, she'll be one of us," she said, not caring if Emily even heard her anymore. "YoUr BrOtHeR wAs LyiNG tO yOu aLL tHIs timE..." She told the little girl, her voice going up and down.

Emily frowned deeply, touching her shoulder weakly. "..I.. As far back as I can remember, Big Brother was always there, watching over me. He never left me out of his sight, not once." The little girl began to bristle in anger, her voice raising. "His teeth aren't fanged! They're just a little pointy, is all! You're a big stupid meany, and I hate you! If anyone is lying, it's you!"

Peter froze, looking at Emily in perfect awe. "Emily.. You've never yelled before.." At this point, tears were budding in the big eyes and her face was flushed with anger, but she didn't reply. The vampire only became more aggresive, beginning to twist her arm so painfully that if she were still human, it would have broken. Peter pulled her close against his strong chest, so that his warm breath brushed over her ear, yet chilled her to the bone. "As long as she is under my care, no such thing will happen. I don't care if you have some personal issues, but if you ever make my Emily cry again, I'll do more than just hurt your arm." After his threat, the vampire went to kick the other to the ground, aiming the blow at her lower spine. He quickly snatched up Emily, putting the small girl on his sturdy shoulders.

She rubbed her arm, as it cracked, though she made it just a little better. "Pointy teeth? Say, how pointy is it? Probably enough to be fangs!" She hissed, still wiped up in the ground. "Look, vampires are real. Why freaking else would he protect you?!" She added, out of breath. "And you.." She said, turning to Peter, "I didn't make her cry. She had a choice of being mad at me and crying, or just accept the dirty truth!" She scowled. Her shoulders began to droop, her skin beginning to turn much more paler. She had no longer seemed to be hungry, for this sometimes happened if some other feeling was bigger than her hunger. She sat up on the ground, looking down, scolding herself. She sighed, putting her hand on her forehead. "I'm sorry.." She peeped.

Emily turned pale herself, hugging Peter tightly. "Brother.. Is what the mean lady saying true? Are there really vampires?"

Peter hesitated, but gave her a cheery smile. "Of course not, cutie. They're make believe." He scratched her head, she giggling as he shot a deadly look to Alexandra, it screaming not a word. However, her next words made Peter relax slightly. With hesitation, he put Emily down, though she hugged his side, and held out a strong hand for the girl to take. "Come now. Stand up. You're forgiven."
