She swallowed hard, nodding feebly. "I guess..."

He sighed. "I know its hard.... but we will make the most of it."

"...I know," she whispered dryly, mustering up a smile as she locked onto his eyes. After a moment her bleak gaze drifted back torwards the scraping boulders, the stream of water falling to the little river in an array of whites and greens, glimmering blues. "If really is beautiful, Chris."

"Care to swim?" He offered pulling off his shirt showing off his six pack

Kate~

She couldn't help but blush, bashfully looking away as she gave a ginger shrug. "...Maybe," she giggled lightly, closing her eyes for a moment as she let herself relax. Sighing, she tugged off her heavy sweatshirt, revealing her thin tank top beneath. For once, she was glad she had worn her shorts, a cold chill running down her spine as she dipped her toes into the icy water.

He laughed abd ran up the water fall and jumped off with a dive.

He cocked an eyebrow, rolling a soft tsk, tsk off of his tongue as he watched her. "Hope? No, you know. Trust me, Alex," he mused gently, rubbing her shoulders tenderly as they walked down the street.

ALex smiled at him and grabbed his hand " i know i can trust you..i think your the only one so far" she felt safe around him. not just because he was the only one she knew but he made her feel safe

She raised her hands protectively over her head as splashes of water showered over her, glimmering in the light as she giggled, smiling uncontrollably. "Ha! That was nothing!" She grinned, backing up to the bed of sheer rock before she suddenly raced forward, a sharp bounce in her step as she left the ground. Wind ruffled her hair, the horizon spinning as she turned in mid air, water flying out from below as she dove in. "Whew," she gurgled, peeling her eyes open into the murky dephs of the lake, her arms flailing as she kicked back up to the surface. The water seemed to churn beneath her, Kate's eyes alight with joy as she swam.

He smiled, lacing his fingers through hers as she held his hand. "Ah...and their will be more to come, I can promise you that."

Alex smiled at him. "thank you" she said getting closer to him as they walked.

He laughed. "Nice dive kate!" He dove under swimming to the bottom.
