Her chest lurched, her heart thrumming softly in her chest, her eyes fluttering for a deadening moment. Her breaths were low and raspy, almost choking as she suddenly gripped his shirt, clinging for any thing as an unbelievable pain seared her sides. A reddened haze clouded her mind, swallowing hard as her back went limp, falling out from beneath her. She closed her eyes in a sense of agony, clenching her jaw. A soft wisp of air seethed through her lips, her body relaxing after a moment, finally giving in as the venom drove through her. It was as though her entire life had been on a clicker, as though the light switch had just been turned off, the thin line cut. Feels weird, doesn't it?, something echoed at the back of her head as she roused stiffly. Her hands were sweaty as she slowly placed them up against the side of her neck, but there was no pulse, no beat, no need for air...or...or...
"...No, no, no, no!!" She screamed suddenly, her eyes blackened, wide with unbelievable fear, terror.

Ares-

"It's normal, no body will care. You're perrectly safe," he whispered lowly.

"Kate. Kate look at me!" He gently grasped her chin making her look at him. "Its ok. You are ok you are safe." He rubbed her back gently before standing and emptying a blood bag into a white cup with a lid so she cant see it. "Drink kate." He handed it to her.

Kate-

She swallowed, hard, her chest heaving as she forced air into her lungs, desperate to breath, desperate to hear her heart... It wasn't there. She wasn't alive. Kate shook her head roughly, tears pricking her eyes as she pushed him away, choking. "No, this isn't right. Chris, I don't feel right. It's not right. It's not," she whimpered, repeating the words over and over in her head frantically. Her nose quivered, her world vibrant as it took in the heavy scent of whatever was in that cup, her body yearning for that one, bitter sip...just one... "No."

"Please kate you were dying... I couldn't let that happen... I just couldn't let a beautiful lifffe go to waste.... please please understand .." he sat on the edge of the bed. "Kate you need to drink it...

Kate-

Hard sobs racked against her chest, the emotion welling up inside her as she leaned against him, pushing her face into his shoulder. After a moment she quieted herself, sniffling as she whiped her tears away with her sleeve, making a small choking sound in her throat. Her hands shook as she took the cup, quivering as she raised it to her lips. Almost immediately she knew what it was, the blood warm and thick as she drank hungrily, needing.

He rubbed her back gently. "Its alright... I will take care of you I promise..." he said softly rubbing her back.

A soft sigh seethed through her lips as he rubbed her back gently, her hands steadying as she sat the empty cup onto a nearby counter, resting her head tiredly into his shoulder. Shadows flickered beneath her now darkened eyes, a small pain in her mouth as she felt her fangs slid out, piercing her bottom lip irritably.

"Do you want more kate or are you full." He said softly as he continued to rub her back. "The fangs won't be irritating for long. Your mouth will adjust to cover them."

"...I don't want anymore, Chris," she whispered dryly, her voice hoarse with the thought of drinking blood. It felt...wrong, and yet her body seemed to yearn for it, needy, hungry. Tentatively she held a hand to her mouth, her fingers tracing uncertainly over her fangs. Their edges were sharp, daggers like, in a way. "I don't like them. At all."
