Keeping in mind Ruty's previous advice that knuckles hurt more, Raven took a swing at Ruty's head as he asked.

Ruty quickly crouched down to avoid the swing, before popping back up again, catching her so that, again, she wouldn't fall. "Now you try it. Ill swing at you, but don't worry, I wont hit you. Just duck down as soon as you see my fist aiming for you."

"Alright," Raven replied, readying herself. Once her posture and mindset were to her liking, she nodded at Ruty to show him she was prepared. She did as he asked; ducked as soon as she saw his fist moving toward her. It worked, only barely, but she felt that she had done alright.

Ruty straightened again after he swung. "Good job." He said with a smile. "That's pretty much the basics- you can switch stuff up later, but that's all you really need to know." He said. "But for now, I need to take a break- my injuries are getting pretty painful." He said, wincing as he spoke.

"Yeah, you go ahead and take a break," she said to him as she smiled sympathetically. "Thank you for teaching me those things, though. You may have just saved my life."

Ruty gritted his teeth and sat down, letting out a pained sigh as he settled himself in. "Saved your life? How so?" He asked quietly, adjusting his torso so that he wasn't as sore. He guessed that the lower part of his ribs where bruised where Pier kicked him.

Raven sat down beside Ruty and tried to mask her concern for him. She could tell he was in pain.
"Well, I might really need those skills one day. You know, like a life-threatening fight or something and maybe for some reason I can't use magic. So I'll just sit there and think - as I bathe in the blood of my defeated foe, might I add - 'Wow, I'm so glad that one dork taught me how to fight cause I could totally be dead by now!'" She smiled and sighed.

Ruty laughed at her remark, wrapping both of his arms around his stomach. "Dark, but true." He said smiling his usual crooked grin. He looked down at himself, then back up at Raven and sighed. "I honestly cant stand this anymore. D-do you have any experience with medical care?" He asked.

Raven frowned. "Well... Kind of? I could try transfiguration. Like, maybe turning the wounds back to normal? I don't have any real medical experience, but I think that could work. Hold still."
She placed a hand on Ruty's shoulder and murmured a quick spell under her breath. To her surprise, his wounds actually began to turn back to normal skin, the bruises disappearing. She shivered when she had finished; transfiguration spells always tended to chill her to the bone, and she didn't know why.
