Ruty smiled, "Ok, now what?" He asked, eager to keep going.
He looked up at her with content, yellow eyes. The sunlight shining down on them causing his black pupils to become smaller.
"Later- after this...do you know how to fight?" He asked her quietly.

"Go ahead and do the same thing, but with the stem of the opposite flower. Then just keep switching sides until the sides meet," she told him, continuing to tie her own together. "If you want, you can find a different kind of flower to put right in the middle."
She pointed around at different patches of flowers.
"But, no. I don't know how to fight." She shrugged. "Well, unless you count magic. I can do that. I'm a witch. But it's not really physical."

Ruty nodded and I'd what she said to do until it was completed. "A Witch? I've never met a witch before." He said quietly, fitting the crown carefully on top of her head. "But I can teach you to fight...if you want?" He suggested, looking down at the ground.

"I'm not, like, a good witch or anything. Still training myself," she explained. "But yeah, I think that would be fun. It could definitely come in handy." She grinned, patting the flower crown on her head.

Ruty smiled and nodded, "alright cool. It will be fun then." He said shrugging slightly. "All I have is my knife though, but I'm sure I could teach you some tricks." He said, a slight grin on his face.

She had been watching them all this time, and didn't realize the frost was melting. All of a sudden, a half frosted leaf fell off of the tree. She watched as it fell onto the girls shoulders, and started flying off before they saw her.

"Alright," Raven said as she stood up. She brushed the grass off of her pants and sighed.
She glanced at Ruty, and made a ready gesture. "Pass unto me your wisdom, squire. I'm very curious to see this indeed."

Ruty looked up as a few leaves fell from the tree and narrowed his eyes as he heard something fly away, but assumed it was just a bird. "Alright." He nodded, stiffly standing up and taking out his knife. "First, I'll teach you how to throw." He said.

Raven looked up into the tree that she had seen Ruty glance at, wondering if he had seen something, but she did not ask. "Oh, lord," she scoffed. "I'm terrible at throwing. Alright, bring it on." She smiled a little.

Ruty laughed lightly, "don't worry, you'll get the hang of it." He held the knife tight and held it I front of him. "You want to hold it back like this, so the it's almost touching your wrist." He explained. "Then, bring it above your head, and flick it as you throw." He said, doing so and throwing it at one of the trees. He went and retrieved it before handing it to her, "now you try."
