xxxIn this day and age, the line between night and day was blurred and supernatural beings have worked their way into society. In a way, it was a natural outcome. The humans prided themselves on the culture they had built up, and claimed that they were the ultimate rulers of the world. But they would be forced to see the errors of their ways. No one noticed when supernatural beings began showing up, how could they have. The supernaturals...they were the actual rulers of the world. The supernaturals laugh at and look down upon the foolish humans, and prey on them. By the time they humans realized what was going on, it was already too late. Humans feared them. They fed off of the humans' life-force, ending up in the humans looking like deflated balloons. It was true fear. They feared the supernatural beings, and began to cal the monsters a name from the past. Vampires.
xxxThe vampires have been doing this thing that every one hundred years they take four kids from the nearby town of Water Ridge. And it just so happens that tonight is the night of the tenth anniversary of when it all started. It was Friday night, kids were throwing parties and it was late, you were out on the town just wandering around minding your own business. That was when it happened. Before you could react, a force so strong threw you against the wall and a figure soon appeared. The rest was a blur but when you woke up the next morning, you weren't in your own home and there were two small holes on the side of your neck.

xxxYour species has inhabited the woods of Water Ridge for hundreds of years by now. You are a large group from many different origins but your numbers are decreasing over the years because of hunters and ignorant vampires. This is why you must capture those four children. Every one hundred years, four vampires are chosen by the elders to find a human teenager. The first bite when you capture them is what sets the plan into action; It replaces the human blood that you feed from with vampire blood. If the human is not bitten weekly afterwards and the transfer is not made then the vampire blood takes over the body and kills the human, almost like poison. The turning process is quite slow and very repetitive, but what happens in between? You must teach this new vampire how to be like one of you, but will something else happen between the process? Is it possible you will fall for a newbie?

xxxYou just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and you remember nothing after blacking out while taking a shortcut through an alleyway. You awake on Saturday in the mid-afternoon in an elegant but older styled room that is nothing close to yours. You exit the room with your curiosity at a peak and eventually you find your way to a twisting double staircase that just so happens to be the way down to the main area. At the bottom of those stairs are three other humans and a row of sickly pale figures, including the one that you saw before blacking out. As it turns out, every hundred years four kids between the ages of 15-18 are taken and turned into creatures of the night. However, since the process is slow, it will be about a year before you are fully turned, depending on your body's reaction. Through that year you will learn how to be a vampire. The head vampire warns you and the others about the dangers of trying to escape. It is not an option. If the turning process is interrupted then the already existing vampire blood inside you will kill you. So you better make yourself comfortable around these supernatural beings, because you are going to become one, and there is no turning back. Could it be possible that while you are with your mentor that you will...fall for them?

waking up in a strange bed was an experience kage will never forget. the pillows were so plumped and soft, that he didn't even want to get out of bed, and the sheets were so white, his fair skin colour was a tad bit darker compared to the sheets he slept on. suddenly realising where he was, kage's head began to pound so hard he could almost hear, thump, thump. of his own brain. "w-where a-am i-i?" in pain, the short four footed teenager kicked his sheets off & entered the freezing temperature that awaited outside his warm bed. confused and dazed, kage took careful steps towards the very large polished door meters ahead of him. why was this room so big? he questions him self & the very large room he was currently occupying. from dazed, to confused to thankful, kage opened the heavy wooden doors that loomed over him like metal gates. "i-i need to thank who ever saved my life." stating this as he pulled open the doors to what he never expected to see in eighteen years of existence.

Being a vampire was not new to Asher at all. No, in fact he was the leader of the lovely group that the council decided should host the new comers. Although he wasn't too happy about babysitting some humans and turning them into vampires, he really had no say in it. If he did refuse to take the task then he would have been kicked out of the home and that wouldn't have been good for him, seeing as he didn't want to return home. Last night was definitely a rush, something he hadn't felt in a long time, but it was also a nuisance. He didn't like going out just to capture a few worthless humans, much less bring them back to the house to have them stink up the place. No matter his resentment towards their race he wouldn't keep this completely sour look on his face the whole time. Although the look of hatred stayed on his face somewhat, he masked it by his annoyed look, an expression which he seemed to always have.

Sooner or later the humans would be waking up, finding themselves comfortably tucked in a bed. In no way did they deserve the luxury of the house, but there was no other place to take them. And besides, if they are going to learn to be vampires, then they would have to live like one. Asher leaned against the wall towards the left of the house, waiting somewhat impatiently for the humans to find their way down the stairs. Eventually one of the kids did, the one and only boy of the group. Asher's eyes looked over to Misaki for a moment, but he quickly averted his eyes away from her. He would wait until all of the humans were downstairs to tell them why they were here.

The ringing in her ears and the constant throbbing in her head was enough to wake her up. A chill ran up her spine and gave her body goosebumps all around. I should not have worn a dress last night, it's freezing in here. Ah, my head hurts. Why does it- Pulled from her own thoughts, she took notice to a certain flawed detail. Her chestnut brown hair was sprawled around the pure white pillow. Immediately, she knew something was wrong. It was almost a ritual for her to put her hair up into a bun before she fell asleep. She had never missed a day. Except for today. The girl slowly slid up the bed into a sitting position, letting the incredibly soft sheets slip down her upper body. Glancing around the older styled room, a confused look fell upon the girl's face.

That was when she began to recount the events of the night before. She was heading to a party and had taken a shortcut through an alleyway, saw a figure and then...and then she ended up here. This place was clearly not her grandmother's home or her room. So the question at hand was where she was and who had taken her. Panic began to set in. Her heart started to beat faster. Her nails dug into her palms. She always watched the news on the kidnappings of young girls, but it seemed so unlikely that she would fall victim to it. That she, Kali Starkweather, was too smart to fall for those tricks.

It seems she was wrong. Before Kali could recount any more events, a subtle pain on the side of her neck captured her attention. She could see a full mirror propped up onto the adjacent wall. Turning her neck ever so slightly, her eyes widened in fear and her heart beat even faster. There were two small holes on the side of her neck. At once, Kali felt a wave of self-consciousness and anxiety. She pulled her locks to the side to hide the holes. Fixing her bangs, throwing the sheets off her body completely, and planting her bare feet on the cold ground, Kali drew herself out of the bed. She headed over to the wooden doors and opened them. Slowly but surely, she made her way down the stairs to what seemed like could only happen in horror movies.

There she was. Face to face with death itself.

Misaki had found a spot in one of the comfier chairs that were scattered about in what could be called the sitting room of their enormous mansion. The vampire sat still as stone her posture proud and straight (something instilled within her since she was alive) waiting, waiting for the humans to finally awake from what seemed to be a centuries sleep. Poor things, gone was the lief that they knew nothing would ever be the same for them a fact Misaki knew all too well however this empathy for their plight wouldn't overshadow the council's orders. These children were to be the next generation of vampires and wether they were keen on it or not Misaki and the rest of the group were supposed to teach them how.
Eyes flitting to the door, Misaki watched in silence as a boy wandered into the room his blue eyes showing the confusion and fear that must have been racing through his head. It wasn't long until another human joined him, this time a girl with long brown hair and piercing yellow eyes -two down, two to go- she thought silently regarding the pair of humans with a tinge of distrust. Anyone new and particularly anyone brought to the groups home was treated to the same mistrusting stare life had taught the vampire that very few people actually deserved your trust and until they had earned to always be wary of their actions, a code that she had lived and survived by for nearly six centuries.
Feeling another set of eyes on her Misaki turned her head a fraction just in time to see her leaders eyes flick back towards the humans. Standing Misaki pulled her pink locks over one shoulder letting it hang to almost past her waist and approached Asher with soft steps. "If we're waiting for all of them to come down before we explain everything, perhaps we could at least make the ones here a little more comfortable." she muttered softly so that those in question couldn't hear her. Perhaps what she'd said seemed rude but as an advisor it was more like her job, being the eldest by two centuries or so afforded Misaki some more insight into the world and life in general.
