Was It Always This Way? ( Not Accepting )

I followed Raven, watching what he was doing to her. I never said anything from there-on. I just watched, with boredom. But now I know what to do when this happens.

Nuri jolted feeling and hearing someone but relaxed seeing Raven. She nodded and blinked when her eye colors began to shift again from hazel to red back to hazel. "I-I do." She said softly and calmed her breathing. Her skin began to return to normal and stop shifting along with her horns but her nails and eye color continued. Nuri looked up at the sky and began to calm her breathing.

Raven smiled slightly seeing it was working, " Mhm... And the look you gave me... " He sighed, " I'll never forget that look... I know I don't say it enough... And I'm sorry that I don't. I love you Nuri... I love you so much... " He looked at her shifting eyes, " I feel I don't express it enough... I'm new to this. " He leaned back and sat down, " Do you remember when I first told you that? How did you feel then? " He kept the conversation going.

I felt mad hearing that because I like Raven but I tried not to show it....

Nuri looked down at him managing to smile and nodded. "I-I love you to. I-I felt amazing." She chuckled softly and sighed feeling her nails stop shifting her closed her eyes for a moment only to open them and they stayed the hazel color. "I feel stupid right now though." It was true he was going through more then she was and her panic attack was stupid and unnecessary.

Raven shook his head, getting up and walking over, scooting next to her, " Don't. I overreacted first... I should know in this world monster is a term excepted here... Guess I was aggravated about what happened tonight. Didn't go as calmly planned. " He wrapped his arms around her, placing his head to hers, " I'll help you tomorrow... As long as I'm here I'll always be there to help you. " He smiled, kissing her cheek. " When will they be here? "

Nuri smiled instantly feeling better in his arms and looked down then back up at him. "Tomorrow afternoon. I don't remember the exact moment though." She said softly and smiled when he kissed her cheek. Her hand took his and she intertwined her fingers with his.

Janai looked around, she pondered on where she was and glanced around until she saw a group of people nearby. "Should I go towards them?" She thought in her mind as a gust of breeze felt through her hair. Sighing she slowly walked towards the group carefully not wanting to scare them.

I turned away and started walking away, quite sad. I thought to myself, "Why am I here if no one even loves me, I should be at home.....where I actually am loved....." I walked with my head low. Tears were falling off my cheeks and I started feeling warm.
