Caspian smiled a little as he looked at the cat, "She's a pretty smart cat then." he said. He then realized something, a mistake he had missed earlier. "...I kind of forgot to give you directions to the house, didn't I? Sorry." he said. The apology for forgetting was something that was really bestiary in this case but it slipped off his tongue with the rest of his words, simply out of habit.

- Meanwhile-

Pheonix stirred from her sleep, nearly falling out of the hammock in the process. She had woken and now felt alert so she knew it was useless to try to fall back to sleep. She got up and went into the main room to see her brother, but of course he wasn't there. She checked the flag but it looked the same as always and so she went out into the night to figure out where he ad gone.

I had just woken up and was wandering around the streets lost and alone. I had no idea where I was or even where I was coming from or how i had gotten there. I couldn't remember anything before waking up. The city looked empty and mildly abandoned, but it was early in the still dark hours of the morning maybe around 2 or 3 i was guessing as i looked around. I noticed a shadow wandering towards me and i called out hoping this person could help shed some light on my dark mind. "Hello...?" I trailed off relatively softly.

Faina still crept ever closer to Caspian, partly hiding behind him. She had a troubled look on her face as she dipped her gaze even lower, trying to remain unnoticed. She leaned forwards ever so slightly to whisper in Caspian's ear. "I-I kind of don't really feel comfortable around humans..." she murmured softly, trying to keep the fear out of her voice. She refused to even look at the human; her nerves were high. She became more scared the closer he came.

Jake smiled at Misnight and pet her. "Yes, she is. But I don't blame you for forgetting. Especially with that whole...scenario. Which Skylar has most likely forgiven. She's calmed down, at least." He noticed how the other girl had seemed mire tense and nervous. He was tempted to ask her what was wrong.

Caspian & Pheonix

Caspian nodded. Scenario, yet another name for what had happened. It seemed now they would only refer to it by vague titles but he figure that was better than most things. He smiled slightly but some of he nervousness could be seen, "Oh, well that's good to hear. Still I hope I didn't create too much of a problem." he said. He then heard what Faina muttered,"ah, so that's what has you on edge. You don't have to get close to him if you don't want to." he whispered back in a way that might just look like he was asking her to be quiet or if she was okay.

- Meanwhile-

Pheonix could see the other person, or at least what she hoped was a person. Then she heard them speak: the voice was female. She hesitated a moment but kept walking until she could see the girl clearer before she responded. "Hello, who are you?." she said gently, trying not to slip into her usual overly enthusiastic greetings. It was early, sure but that didn't stop the avian girl to pressure her flight as a social butterfly.

Jake shifted his weight as he watched the two. He was starting to feel that he was the source of discomfort, causing him to subconciously back up.

Faina nodded a tiny bit, though she knew that Caspian couldn't see her. She closed her eyes briefly before opening them again, giving in and staring right at the human. She forced her eyes to be as clear as possible, however she couldn't stop a tiny bit of unease from revealing itself within them. She wanted to say something else so that there wasn't awkward silence, but the moment that she tried to open her mouth so she could say something, her eyes unfocused and she spaced out.

Jake felt uncomfortable as the girl stared at him silently. Should I say something..? He wondered if she knew she was staring.

Caspian stood there in silence, noticing how Jake was reacting and no one was saying anything. He glanced at Faina, she had zoned out again. He carefully waved his hand in front of her face, trying to get her to focus. "Faina...? You alright..?" he said.

Faina returned much swifter than normal, as if she had been subconsciously trying to pull herself back. She blinked at Caspian, realizing that he must have said something while she was out. She had momentarily forgotten about the human, but just for a moment. Then her guard was back up. "Did you say something?" she asked quietly, an innocent look on her face as she mentally cursed whoever or whatever had caused the explosions that made her this way in the first place.
