Caspian hadn't expected to hear that, that Jake still thought of him as a good person. That mixed with Faina's words and Pheonix's hug had helped. He nodded and smiled a little, this time actually making eye contact this time. He was better than earlier, still scared deep down, but better.

Jake's smile grew as he saw Caspian smile. He was completely sure that Caspian was in comlete control, so he walked closer to him, but still avoided the corpse.

Rose stood up and walked over to the building her brother used to work in which wasn't far from where she was sitting. She stared at the destroyed building for a very long time. A piece over paper that was all torn up was on the ground she picked it up and looked at it. The paper did have something writing on it but she couldn't tell what it said because to most of it being torn off.

Caspian didn't mind Jake moving closer since he knew he couldn't harm the other male now. He took a small step away from the canine corpse and quickly tried to think of a way to change the subject to something less personal and disturbing. "It's getting kinda late...do you guys have a place to stay?" he questioned.

Jake blinked as he stared at Caspian. He had totally forgotten that time actually moves on whether they realize it or not. He shifted his weight and softly said, "n-no, but I could easily find my own place...probably."

Pheonix & Caspian

Caspian had to tell himself that he was being stared at for what he said, not anything else that should require shame or concern. He glanced at Phoenix to make sure they were on the same page. "Don't you think it'd be kind of dangerous to be doing that in the dark? You guys could stay with Pheonix and I for now if you like." he offered.

Jake looked back at Caspian and Pheonix, giving them a smile. "T-thanks. I appreciate it..."

Faina had stiffened as soon as the human had come closer, uncomfortably shifting in her spot and leaning a little bit in Pheonix's direction. She heard and analyzed the human's words but didn't dare look at him. She kept her good eye on the ground, her head slightly bowed as if in quiet submission. She was honestly terrified of any and all humans, and she didn't want anything to do with them. She cleared her throat a little bit. "Um, right. So, I-I think I should just..." She shrugged and gestured behind her, backing up a few steps.

Pheonix & Caspian

Caspian nodded and both he and his sister smiled, " You're welcome.." he said simply. Pheonix had heard what Faina had said and gently pulled on her sleeve, partially to get her attention and partially to keep her from running off. She knew better than to grab the girl's arm right now since some parts were cut. "Wait... You can stay with us too. Well, I mean if you need it." she said. " You won't have to get to close too close to the human either...I promise." she said, lowering her voice.
