Owen hadn't meant to fall asleep. But he did and when he woke up he was sweating and the whole left side of his body was numb. Now you've done it. Poison's really taking effect, You should have gone straight to Heather. The pain was white hot and it was slowly spreading. It wasn't a fast acting poison and it was meant to mislead victims into thinking it wasn't as dangerous as it was. However, he'd been affected by it before so he knew when things would start to get too bad. And it had already started. When infected, the victim will only experience pain but in about an hour, if left untreated, it would work to shut down vital organs much like a snake's venom.
But because he'd fallen asleep, he'd waited too long and now it would be a challenge for him to push himself to see Heather. He just hoped that guy knew an antidote or he was going to be in big trouble. Owen slowly pushed himself up and began to stumble through the camp, clutching his shoulder. When he spotted Heather, he offered a weak smile before stumbling forward a bit, "I messed up..."
