Ugh. James is such a downer. I look around and see all the other pairs having a good time, smiling and laughing. I sigh. "Anyway," I say, "I'm going to scout the area for a good spot for shelter. You stay here." I flash a friendly smile in an attempt to be nice. And with that, I shifted to a raven and flew above the forest. I spotted a great spot, not too big. It's a clearing with a big tree, great for a tree house, in the center. There is a river flowing nearby as well. I fly back to James and tell him about the spot. We start walking twoards there.

"Sure." I say, "This whole partner thing is so stupid. But whatever. This whole 'banishment' is idiotic." I clear a space to set up a temporary camp, for two tents until a structure is built. I had set up si many campsites with my dad before, so this brought back mant bitter-sweet memories. We unpack the cargo box full of recources we brought along as well. We do this in good timing. When were settled, I sit down with him. "So, tell me about yourself. If were going to be partners, we should at least be aquaintances." I shrug.

"Nothing yet," he sighed. "Though I have sensed many animals." He hissed through his teeth. "And I think I found where some fresh water might be."

"Wonderful," she sighed, holding aside a large club of leaves, both bush and tree, revealing a small open clearing already with a shelter and fire pit set up in it. "I was the first to wake up, so I went exploring and made myself a little area for shelter." She gestured to a large lean-to with a small hole filled with twigs in a teepee structure in front of it. "I made that extra big, originally for room, but it can hold up to three people. The fire pit has already been prepped for cooking and other stuff, and if you take a sniff, there is a pond within a few minutes walking distance." She pointed to a seemingly untouched part of the forest. "That's the path. Careful to follow it though. Stray too far and you may be caught in a snare. I still need to make some more snares and find some good fire sticks though. And a net to go across the top so it is less visible from the sky."

Richard nodded then walked into the forest watching for any signs of fresh water or a shelter. After a while of looking, he found a pink and orange flower, of which he picked and set into his breast pocket to give to Lexa later.

"Yeah, me too. I mean, why did we even get sent off here? Different, for lack of a better term, is good. And some people just can't accept that. Anyway, tell me about yourself." I unwrap the bloody mess of my hand from the wrap. I sigh, clean and redress the wound as I wait for his response.
