Kai

Kai was genuinely surprised that what he said made her feel better. Heck, he already had forgotten what he said.

"Happy to help.." he murmured, embarrassed by her praise.

Dio

Dio blew the whistle and called the students over to line up, and instructed them run 20 laps. For a moment, Dio actually considered making Kai carry him the whole time, but Dio was afraid that Kai would collapse from exhaustion, so he held back, sat on a chair, and watched.

Saumya: Saumya started running slowly. She knew you had to start slow, then keep going faster.

Kerrin: Now that she flirted with Ash, she was bored. Running wasn't her thing, exercising wasn't her thing. She was sweating on lap 3.

Kai

His face paled the moment Dio mentioned laps. Sighing and going along with it, he endured the exhaustion and heat in his lungs and throat. Running clearly wasn't Kai's forte, as he began feeling tired after the 5th lap. On the 12th lap, his knee's ached, and he could no longer bear it, and sat on the bleachers, to catch his breath.

Dio

While Kai was on the bleachers, Dio felt guilty for deliberately forcing Kai to face his weakness: his lung capacity. The poor child couldn't even hold his breath for a mere 10 seconds.

Saumya: She noticed Kai sitting on the bleachers. Poor Kai... She was on her 18th lap, and she only started feeling tired then. The reason for that is another farm story, that we don't have to speak of. Saumya wished she could do something, she wished she could. Saumya ran past Kai, and she slowly ran when she was near him. "It's okay, Kai. Don't push yourself too hard, I don't want you to hurt yourself." She said, then started going fast again.

Kai

It was excruciating and frustrating. The fact that he fell behind, and that he run anymore. The moment Saum told him not to push himself anymore, he exploded. "Who isn't going to hurt himself!?" he wanted to scream. Convincing himself that he was alright, he began running again, and for Kai, it was only his 14th lap, whereas the others were nearly finished. When Kai was on his 17th lap, he heard the whistle blow; thankfully. Collapsing on his knees, he gasped for air, and his wet hair was scattered across his face, making him look like a mess, along with many others. And this time, they had another 5 minute break.

Saumya: She sadly watched him collapse. Saumya walked over to him and knelt down beside him. She didn't know what to say, though. Saumya didn't know what to do either. "Do you need anything? Like, water?"

Kai

He was experiencing adrenaline, and he could barely hear Saum's words over his own heartbeat. In response to Saum, he nodded furiously.

Saumya nodded and got up. She ran to her gym bag, which was placed on the bleachers. She dug through it until she came across a water bottle. Saumya ran back to Kai and offered it to him.

She came halting to a stop... twenty laps...twenty laps...I'm okay... she willed her heart to slow, but it couldn't. Breathing heavily, she got a drink from the water fountain.
