Wren, who guarded from behind, had her swords sheathed as she guided her horse into the group's "circle" around the leader. She was unable to use them aside from blocking off a stray arrow or two. She never doubted this group's experience. The bandits were a different matter, however. Based on her experience, bandits surround their targets before they attack, perhaps to scare them into paying and avoid a direct confrontation. This also cuts off the target's escape route. There should have been attackers from behind. Perhaps, quickly realizing the hopelessness of their fight, the hidden rogues ran away?
She cut off the bandit leader's escape.
"Just to satisfy my curiosity," she said. She wasn't used to dealing with gods and decided to let that question slide. "Where are the others?"
