Devin nodded before Heather could ask a question, "yes, they captured us and shot us with darts. We're fine now, they wanted a cure.. Tested it on Riley, she lost her memory for a while.. She recently gained it back."

Heather

Heather raised a brow as she listened to Devins short story. "Is this true of what he says?" She asked Riley, making sure she agreed.

Riley nodded to Heather, "Yeah, we also had to do a bunch of tests." She said. She glanced at Devin then back to Heather Hopefully she believes us. she thought nervously.

Devin

"Y-yeah," he said nervously. "They had us do some weird things.. And they said that the cure worked on Riley, I guess it was to make her forget.. You know, who would want to come back from being insane and see how many people they killed." He looked down at the ground, his now shaggy hair covering his eyes.

Heather

Heather nodded and sighed. "Next time please don't try to disappear on me, I've lost people before. I'm not looking forward to losing you," she glanced up at them and shook her head slightly. "Go upstairs and rest, you probably need it." She looked at Riley to see her pale face. "There's water and a little bit of food in the kitchen if you need it. While you were gone we got a ton of supplies from a school."

Riley nodded, "Thanks, Heather." She said. She glanced towards Devin as she walked to the kitchen then she walked to the cupboard, "Want some food Devin?" She asked over her shoulder as she stopped in front of the cupboard.

Devin

Devin nodded, "sure." He looked inside to see some beans and soup. "Maybe we could start a little fire?" He suggested. The woods were close and he could kick up some dirt and place rocks around it.

Riley nodded and took out the soup and beans she help them up to Devin, "Soup, beans or both?" She asked.

Devin

Devin shrugged, "both I guess." He searched through some cabinets for a pan. He glanced back at Riley before looked for some matches.

Riley nodded and put the cans on the counter and she searched for a can opener in the drawers. She found one and opened the cans, she glanced at Devin to see if he was getting a pot or something to cook it in.

Devin

Finding a pot, he soon later found matches. He glanced at Riley, "ready?" He asked her.
