"Your welcome," he smiled a bit before finishing his beans. Devin waited for Riley to finish her beans. "I've got a little surprise to show you," he said and stood up taking their empty bowls with him. He placed them in the sink before looking back at her.

Riley stood up and looked at Devin, "A surprise?" She asked. Wonder what it could be... she thought as she waited for Devin to say something more. Though, she doubted he would give away anything, it would ruin the surprise part of the surprise. As she was looking at Devin she had the suddenly urge to gain all of her memories back so she could remember him, and them.

Devin

"Well, I'm taking you somewhere that I think is special." He smiled and took her hand, hoping that she would be okay with it. He looked down at her with his forest green eyes before walking over to the door. Opening it her walked through and closed it behind them. He took a breath of the fresh air and closed his eyes.

Riley felt his hand take hers, was it odd that it felt so familiar? She shook her head lightly and followed Devin out of the house, the sun was shining down on the empty city. It still looked quite odd that the city was completely empty, no other people were in sight.

Devin looked down the small hill at the beautiful willow. He began to walk towards it and glanced over at Riley. Spotting a pretty flower he bent down and picked it. Carefully he placed it behind her ear. "There," he murmured.

Riley touched the flower lightly with her fingertips and smiled shyly at Devin. Spotting a large willow tree up ahead she pointed at it and glanced at Devin, "The willow." She said happily, not really think as to why she knew what it was exactly.

"Yup, that's right." He walked up to it and touched its bark. "You and I share some memories here," he glanced back at her before looking back at the tree. I share memories with this tree before the flare..

Riley walked up to the willow and peered up at the closely woven branches above their heads. "Really?" She asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the peaceful quiet that had settled over them, "Will you tell me?" She looked over at Devin, wishing again that she could remember him before she actually forgot. Why did this have to happen to me? she thought, but she shook her head lightly as if to clear the thoughts.

He nodded, "we were close to this tree when I first held your hand and kissed you. Also, we sat in this tree together," he looked over at her and smiled lightly.
