"I'm not a kid," Devin said absently as a soldier led her out of the bunker. She was sad to see the place go, it was interesting there. But she couldn't try anything. Devin wasn't one for risks and she knew that taking them right now would end badly for her and everyone else and she wouldn't live with that guilt.

Even when they made it to wherever they were going Devin didn't try anything. She had very little control of her abilities in a good situation and this? This was not what Devin thought a good situation was. In fact the last time she'd been in a situation she'd deemed "Not good" she had lost control of her powers and that had not turned out pretty. She'd ended up blowing up a tree and was getting splinters out of her body for days afterwords. That had been when she'd learned about the fact that she could practically conjure lightning. Among other things, but those had come later and had taken practice. And honestly, as long as no one touched her cat Devin was not in any danger of losing control. Though she had to admit she was worried about everyone else she knew there was nothing she could do about that right now. But the cat was also some kind of a familiar to Devin. She was able to focus her abilities on Adrasteia without hurting the cat, like a conductor, and then she was better able to control them from there.

"Soldiers always want to be dramatic" Devin said absently, catching the end of Cora's comment, "If things don't explode then obviously they aren't doing anything right." A soldier near Devin moved to hit her but she glared at the man as Adrasteia hissed and the soldier backed off, obviously wary of the cat and the small redheaded girl. Devin leaned her head back and sighed, she didn't like being tied up at all but she had no clue what to do that wouldn't end badly for everyone.

She opened her mouth to say more but was interrupted when the steel door slammed open. A young man, which seemed to be the one in charge grabbed a chair and pulled it to the center of the room. "Answer my questions truthfully and we won't have a problem." Jason said as he took his seat. He set his elbows on his legs, clasping his hands and sitting on the edge of the uncomfortable steel chair. "I need you name, age, and occupation." Jason ordered.

"First of all," Cora said, "The MRI is exactly where I left it. I only took the magnet. Secondly, I don't answer to your authority. I demand to know on what grounds you justify our capture and imprisonment." While she spoke, Cora began searching frantically for any helpful technology nearby. It was their only option for escape, but she'd need to act fast, if she wanted to do it before their captor took notice.

"Alright then. First if all you should give up your search for anykind of tech. I'll have you dead or passed out before you could move, depending on wether or not my rifle's loaded with darts or bullets." Jason replied, the tone of his voice mocked Cora's to a T. He leaned back in his chair, rifle swinging forward off his back from its strap. "Secondly, you here because I would like to know why you where in the lab. Especially with a soldier, whom we suspected was captured. We always asume the worst, plan for the worst, and attack as if it where the worst. As for your justification, if you answer my questions quickly and honestly you will be released. As long as your answers follow the law and are, justified."

"Your soldier came to my lab of her own accord," Cora said sharply, "and against my wishes I might add. I would have released her, but the nature of my work is too sensitive to let anyone know about it. As a soldier, I'm sure you can appreciate the value of confidentiality."

|Taegen|

He was in and out of it. His shoulder was throbbing and his head was pounding. He barely noted the change of scenery until he was thrust into a chair. After a few deep breaths Taegen was able to focus on what was happening around him. He groaned, earning himself a glare from a nearby soldier, who he just stuck his tongue out at. His head lolled back and he stared at the ceiling, even when he heard the new voice in the room.

Taegen was focuses on blocking the soldier's abilities without being noticed. He'd done this multiple times, it had gotten him and a group of others out of many sticky situations and if this wasn't sticky than Taegen had never broken a bone. He rolled his head forward and glanced at the others in his group before looking at the soldier who was addressing Cora. The man looked like he was used to people following orders. Taegen decided that he wasn't going to mess with this man. Any poking and prodding of a man that was so self assured would surely be noticed and Taegen couldn't have that. "What do you mean justified? You say that as if you have a right to tell other what is justified as if you aren't another human like the rest of us." Taegen said, wanting to draw the focus off of Cora so that she could continue the search she had been doing without other distractions. "And the laws are such crap. If they were meant to protect people, then yeah, they'd be cool. But they're oppressive and they're shameful and because of these laws the world is a literal waste land and people are being killed needlessly and senselessly" Taegen glared at Jason, "It's almost pathetic"

"So you the scientist, Cora Mills, seventeen. technopathy no doubt, and I will get our sciencetist to look into your work at the lab." Jason said in a dismissing tone. His stern gaze turned to the brown haired boy. His shoulder was stiff, tense, and likely out of joint. "Taegen Orville, seventeen, ability enhancement and degradation. You're so shy and weak willed, do enlighten me on your occupation." Jason sneered. His eyes narrowed, taking up Taegens size and build. He had fairly wide chest, strong shoulders, and decently muscleded. Taegen's brown hair was cropped short and eyes uneasy and flighty. Jason looked around at the others. Conner, Ellie, Devin, and finally Chexie. The poor boy was pale and sweaty, his leg swollen and infected. "Give the boy some medical attention if you will." he ordered before turning back to the others.

At the soldier's las remark, Cora couldn't help but burst out laughing. "You really have no idea what you're dealing with, Do you?" She asked. " I barely know what I'm doing down there, your 'scientist' will be lucky if he can even open the doors." A sinister gleam came into Cora's eyes as she remembered what lay behind the sealed door. "And besides, you're not going anywhere near my lab- not if you want to live."

Taegen

"Blah blah blah," Taegen said, looking back at the ceiling, effectively ignoring Jason from there on. He was tired, but he'd accomplished his task of blocking the abilities of the soldiers. He could keep it up for another half hour but no longer than that. But of course, there was no way for him to communicate that. He had hand signals but no one in the group knew them. So unless someone acted soon they were going to lose a serious advantage.

Devin

With Adrasteia in her lap Devin was a lot more focused on the man in the middle of the room. She had heard about him but had never had reason to meet him. She'd been hoping to keep it that way but evidently that hadn't worked out. She was trying to store some energy in the cat while the rest went out to the men around her, acting as a siphon. If she wanted to create a distraction large enough to get all the soldiers out of the room she was going to need a lot more energy then she had. Sure, she worked best with energy she got from natural forces, but humans were of a natural force and she could make do with what she got.

"Alright, you're starting to bore me now." Ki snapped, finally speaking. "Its been great meeting you all," she said, false enjoyment in her voice. "but it's time we get going." Ki leaped fron her chair, six throwing knifes in hand. Black zip ties hung from her wrist, the center loop that had held the two together laid out on the floor. "Next time you might want to search your prisoners before you zip tie them to a chair." said Ki, voice full of malice. She carefully dodged a soldier, weaving in and out of them, and behind her- friends? chairs. Taking the blades and slashing them down the zip ties. Ki had rested enough to haved gained a good bit of energy, and knowing that Devin and Taegen could weaken the soldiers. Jason on the other hand, seemed unfazed by Devin and Taegens attempts, having his rifle in his hands and aimed for the assasins head. With a rythem of tactful steps, Ki was at the door and kicking it open, though kicked it with her bad leg. Two soldiers managed to grab Ki's arms and wrestle her agaist the wall, daggers clattering to the ground. Anger surged through her, kicked and scrambling for freedom that never came.

Jason swung his rifle into his hands, aiming from person to person. The flurry of limbs and people gave him less of a shot. He cursed loudly as the door burst open, though an ounce of satisfaction sparked when the assasin, Kilee, was thrown agaisnt the wall. Jason looked back at the door, the exit was to the right and the last door going straight, a pretty easy escape route. The layout of the prison was awful, but Jason never had an imput during the build.
