Taegen looked at Ki with concern, "I told you not to move around." He said his voice thick with concern, it was then that he noticed that she had changed, "you had a job, didn't you?" His voice was cold with anger and hatred, but it wasn't directed at Ki, or even Conner or Leena, who had made her recovery process from the wound last much longer than it should have. No, his anger was directed at the world and everything that had ever happened to make Kilee become an assassin. Taegen grabbed one of the blankets and shoved it at Ki so that it was covering the wound. "I'll be right back," He said before standing and running to the lab that he knew Cora and Chexie were in. He grabbed a medical kit, not even checking to see if it was being used, before running back to Ki. Once there he dropped to his knees and began prepping everything to stitch Ki up again, "Show it to me," He growled when he was ready.

Kilee watched as Taegen stormed away, flinching at his sudden anger. She had also winced as Taegen shoved the blanket at her. Ki waited patiently as Taegen disappeared, the returned angrily. "Hey," Ki whispered gently. "It's fine, just calm down or I'll do it my self." She still had her hand on her side, but was giving Taegen a stern gaze. "Tae, you cant change the world, and you cant changed what happened." Ki added.

Taegen

Taegen looked at Ki finally when she used a nickname that he hadn't heard in many years. He look a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "I know," He said after a moment, "But that doesn't mean I'm okay with it." Taegen gave Ki a small smile before moving her hand from the wound to disinfect it, take out the old stitches, and put in the new ones. "Don't move this time, and I mean it. No more jobs until you're better. You're no good to anyone if you can't keep a simple wound closed." Taegen said jokingly, even though he was serious about the no job things. He didn't want his only friend to die because of one measly wound. Taegen stood and ran the medicine box back to the room he'd gotten it from and was back to Ki in less than a minute with medicine and water to help her fight her fever. "Here" He said handing her the stuff he'd grabbed before he stooped down to gingerly pick the girl up and move her to the bed, so that she'd be more comfortable.

"You thing one scanty flesh wound will get rid of me?" Ki scoffed with fake offense. "I think I've had more wounds than you have!" she teased. She relaxed, allowing Taegen to move her to the bed. "I'll get bored though!" she whined with a playful shove to his chest. Ki hadn't felt so at ease since she was pretty much born. It was nice to be able to relax with out somebody pointing a gun between your eyes.

To be honest I don't like snow at all. I'm fire, it's frozen water, we're like complete opposites in every way. When I'm in the cold I'm weaker but so are the Kotsi, so I think I'll be fine for now. I don't hear any nearby either. I see a few buildings that are close enough together that you can jump from one roof to the other. I start to climb the first one but almost slip from the frozen water. When I finally do get to the top I see something that makes me want to pass out. Most of the people are very sick. Some are laying down on their backs in the clod snow, using it to help with their fever. Others are trying to prevent themselves from fainting or throwing up. I turn back and jump from the roof. I've jumped off a few buildings before and this one was pretty low to the ground, but I still ended up falling. I didn't really care though. I made my way back to the bunker and closed the door quickly after I entered. "I don't think anyone wants to go out there any time soon" I say to no one in particular. It was like some virus just invaded all the bodies of the people out there. I'm not sure, when, how, or why this happened, but it doesn't look like something you want to happen to you. I make my way down the stairs and hope no one else is sick like that. It'd probably be harder for someone to get infected all the way down here, but not impossible. Nathair slithers out of my pocket and dashes down a hallway to do who knows what.

"Am I not allowed to worry?" Taegen asked with a grin, sitting down on the bed beside Ki. He shook his head at Ki, "I'm just better at hiding my wounds." Taegen teased. He lifted his shirt to show that he actually was riddled with scares. Blushing Taegen put his shirt down. His hand went behind his neck and he laughed at his own folly, "Or at least I was?" he said with a shrug before biting his lower lip in embarrassment.

"Nobody worries about me." Ki teased. Even though it was meant as a joke, it was a fact. She thought for a moment, thinking it quite inappropriate to show off her scars. Ki rested her head against the head board before coming up with one. An image flashed across Ki's right cheek. Her face looked the exact same except for that cheek. Four long, claw like scars where drawn from just under her eye to her jaw. As quickly as she let him see it, she hid the scar once more. The sound if Ellie's voice, along with a commotion what seemed like a few doors down, had cought Ki's attention.

A violent shiver over took him, and the sweat beads dripped from his cheeks. "I am terrible sick" he was able to squeeze out, "I need medication to cure my leg infection. If it gets too bad, we will hae to cut it off." His glasses were low on his nose, slipping from the glistening sweat. His leg was inflamed and red around the wounds, and pus was within them.

Conner - Acid/Venom - Tagged: Chester, Cora

"I won't let anything like that happen to you, trust me." I said with a smile and patted his hand. My smile faded as I reexamined the wound and I tried my hardest to calm myself as I dusted off my medical knowledge. Reaching for a medkit that looked like it had been tampered with, I began to plan out how I would operate on Chester. I opened to kit and found that there was some items missing, but nothing that would set me back. As I thought, I heard the familiar sound of the main door opening and closing and I looked back at Cora. "After you feel better, could you go check on the fjord? Someone really should be guarding the entrance, and I can take care of Chester on my own." Truthfully, I wanted to be alone while I was working with Chester, and Cora had proved that she didn't have to nerves to deal with this situation. I took a small bottle of pills and read the label. Pain killers...He'll need these when I remove the sutures., I thought and unscrewed the cap on the bottle. I took a miniature bottle of water out of the medkit and held out the medicine to Chester. "Take these." I set the water beside him and put my free hand behind his shoulder in case he needed help sitting up.
