"That's a big title." I said, thinking that she was only trying to be dramatic. "Oh, and nice to meet you," I added with an obvious hint of scorn in my voice. I stopped to rub my eyes as a means of getting them used to the dark.

"I'm Ellie" I say, not bothering with my last name. I take the black snake of my shoulder at look at his fangs, then at Conner's, "Are you part snake or something?" I ask, my eyes darting from Nathair to Conner. I put the snake down and enter the room.

"Yeah well she cant do it with out us so she has to share." I teased slightly. My glowing blue eyes started to fade to their normal navy blue. The room was bright with the florescent lights, I glanced at Taegen and at the rest of the folks in the room.

"You don't believe me," Cora said, noting Conner's tone, "But I speak the truth. I'm the only one who can activate the Device." She pointed at the sphere before her, it's bronze surface gleaming dully under the fluorescent lights of the room.

"How do you know it will work though?" I asked. I stored my pistol back at the small of my back, though keeping an eye on Connor.

"Taegen Orville," The boy said, following Ki closely, nervous of the newcomer. The entire time he keeps a hand on Ki's shoulder in case the girl has to act quickly. He could have done the same to any of them but he was most comfortable with Ki.

Devin

"I'm Devin" Devin tells the boy once she's got Adrasteia calmed down. She watched Conner suspiciously for a moment then shrugged and went to lean against a wall.

I made mental notes as each person spoke their name."Perhaps, Ellie." I muttered, retracting my fangs. I didn't feel ready to expose my abilities to these people. I stared at the sphere, or 'master core' as she called it. " What do you mean, 'work'?" I asked, "What does it do?"

"According to Miss Dolley Daydream, it's supposed to bring electricity back to Soldoor." I replied, throwing a thumb towards Cora. I smiled thankfully at Tae before looking back at Connor. "And you now have to start working. I'll take Devin and you to the surface tomorrow for more supplies.Tae and Ellie, you two help Cora assemble what ever's needed." I said, giving my orders.

"None of you can help with assembly," Cora said. "We don't have the tools for that. I'll have to do it. And the device will do much more than simply restore electricity. It will remake the world as it was, before the war destroyed it. I'm not sure how, but that's what the dream told me it would do."
