Piper attempted a grin, though it turned into more of a grimace. "It's a bit of a story, but long story short...I fell out of a tree." She looked down at her broken ankle and sighed, not at all liking this situation. She could still feel the dried blood on the back of her head and a throbbing headache from the injury. She had no idea how serious it was though.

"Well its still one of the better scenarios" Daniel muttered, his eyes fixed on the wall opposite of him.

She looks up at him. "At least you have your brother, even though you two might not get along, you still have someone that's always there for you."

Daniel shook his head slightly, "Family is overrated, I would know." He whistled and suddenly his large black german shepherd appeared from under the bed, his fur ruffled and his tongue sticking out.

Daisy shakes her head. "No, you just take advantage of them, you don't know what you have until it's gone." She says to him. Daniel didn't know what it was like to not have a family.

"Well we obviously have different opinions on this, but believe me, I know what it's like to lose family." His expression changed to a neutral one as he locked his emotions up again, obviously not in the mood to dig any deeper into his soul. Reaching down he petted his dog absentmindedly.

Daisy decides to change the topic because she could tell Daniel didn't want to talk about it anymore. "That's a cute dog," she says and mentally does a face palm. 'Really? That's the best I could come up with,' she thinks. "I'm sorry that sounded really stupid, and I'm not a stupid person, I promise you."

Daniel laughed, relaxing once again. "That's Demon" he introduced the dog and Demon turned his head to Daisy, letting out a bark.

Daemon sighed and looked her over, trying to get a feel of her injuries. "Let's get you fixed up." he said in a gentle tone and picked her up, carrying her to the couch bridal style. "How did you fall out of the tree?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
