Piper frowned at Jace scaring the manager and followed him in before sitting in a booth, opposite of him. She cocked her head at Jace before asking him, "Why'd you purposely scare the manager?"

Jace grinned, stretching out his legs and putting his hands behind his head "Food on the house, thats why" Soon a waitress walked over to them, waiting to take their order. Jace looked at her and winked, earning a nervous giggle "The usual" After placing his order he turned back to Piper.

Piper was starting to feel uncomfortable around Jace. From what she was seeing, he was scaring these normal humans into giving him free food. Piper was quiet as her mind began to wander back to the lake, when she'd been with Daemon.

Daemon frowned. "Find another nickname for her." he muttered, rolling his eyes. "I'll give you a tip, ignore her and she'll leave you alone." he told her, sighing. Women were complicated.

"What would you like, kitten ?" Jace asked her, probably the second time. An amused expression spread over his face, but not the usual one that meant he was making fun of someone, he was just having a good time, in his own way.

Piper realized she hadn't even looked at the menu yet and picked it up before quickly skimming the options. She soon grinned, more to herself than anything else, as she said, "I'll get a cheeseburger." She remembered that Daemon had gotten one at lunch hand while she loved hamburgers, she'd never actually tried a cheeseburger before.

Jace watched her, having noticed her earlier mood. "You're not too happy about me scaring the manager, are you ?" He asked, but his tone was curious. "I guess I should behave more human" he said, more to himself.

Piper put the menu down and then nodded at Jace. "I don't exactly know your background or any of the people working here, but I hate seeing people push others around, whether or not they're different."

Jace raised his hands in a gesture of giving up. "Alright, you're right, I'm being a jerk. Any way I can make up for ruining the lunch ?"
