Von nodded only slightly when Novak passed him. "Novak, I am sure you have realized by now. Alec, he is too soft hearted and gentle to handle intruders. He would rather direct them on their way or let them rest in his own cabin." Von again gave a slight bow of his head. "Alpha, I must ask what others have wanted to for a while now. Why did you choose him as your beta? Why Alec? There are plenty of strong wolves in this pack who would fight and die on your command or without it. Yet you chose a soft male like Alec." Von was never one to hold his tongue. The pack he was born to was not one to allow the weak to gain such high rank. It was a kill or be killed world. That was why he did not understand why Novak had chosen Alec.

Kain tossed a twenty on the counter as he walked out of Triko's shop with a bag of herbs and a couple elixirs. He started down the road but his stomach soon got the better of him. He stopped in at the local cafe. He walked to the far end of the counter away from the two who were talking. Though that wasn't like it stopped him from hearing what they were saying. The little chat was rather interesting but he said nothing just the same.

Novak listened to Von's question before nodding. "There are times I find myself asking the same thing." He admitted. "That is usually tradition isn't it? To choose a powerful and loyal beta. one that will fallow the alpha's orders to the letter and never disobey." For a moment Novak was silent. A smirk crossed his muzzle. "Having said that, should the Alpha be an aggressive and merciless, should he choose to let such things guide his actions there is no reason to have a beta with the same actions. Instead to have them have a similar idea yet not the hate and aggression. Having a way to bring a balance in the ranks. That is what will keep this pack strong." He stated. "Yes Alec is kind hearted towards others even when he is the one who wounds them he seems to feel guilty about it. He is not as ruthless a killer as you or I. That is why he will make a good beta. That sense of innocence and compassion counters the blood that stains my fangs and the hate I carry within me." He looked over his shoulder at the male behind him. "Though you seem to wish to prove your worth." He again looked out over the land. "Very well. Then I will give you a task that others may not be suited for."

Oliver raised his head and looked to the man who came in as a low growl escaped him and the fur on the back of his neck bristled. Mika lowered her hand to Oli's head. "Calm." She said simply yet calmly. "Lets continue this chat later then." She told Lucy as she glanced towards the guy Oliver growled at.

At Mika’s words, partially wondered if they should appropriately confront the old man. However, the idea may have sounded bold she wasn’t completely sure if it was a good idea. “I wonder what he knows about the people that disappear? Do you think he keeps tabs on everyone?” Lucy quietly asked, were they always being watched? At the thought her eyes flickered towards the door, listening to Mika. “That sounds like a good plan,-“ Lucy started, her eyes flickering to the man that entered her shop. Turning towards Mika, she cautiously whispered her last few words “Agreed, I close up in about 4 hours? I’ll see you then?” She guessed, politely excusing herself before walking over to serve her other customer. A happy grin on her face as she spoke from behind the counter, “Anything I can interest you in today sir?” Lucy asked, being polite and using her manners. Noting the fact that Oliver didn't appear to like this man.

Alec - Beta - 21

Alec remained quiet for rest of the journey, navigating through the catacombs. “In here,” Alec muttered, stopping the fae and waiting for her to get into the cell. He’d go back to his duties once she was locked up. “The alpha will be back for you later,” Alec informed her, courting her towards the enclosed room. Carefully watching the girl, he took a moment to ask her a simple question, “What’s your name again?” Once he knew her name, he would hopefully, be able to call her by her name. Not 'love, she-wolf' or anything like that, besides. It might help Novak and himself later on.

Rayne raised her brow in disbelief before turning to him. "You really expect me to stay in here during the full moon? The full moon is a time for hunting for me, not being locked up. Nope, can't do it." She tried to maneuver around him again, but only came to a wall of muscle. He was courting her towards the room and blocking off all her escape routes now. "Rayne," she muttered absently to him as she tried to duck under his arm.

She has two brand like tattoos on her back one is at the base of her spine and the other is at the base of her skull and are double bow and arrow that marks her as an amazon warrior and as amazon royalty

Personality Grace is the oldest of the triplets and therefore tends to be the most level headed of the three. She is shy and somewhat reserved around those she doesnt know and tends to come off as aloof and standoffish. She doesnt talk to many people because she doesnt trust anyone other than her brother and sister.
History Grace and her brother and sister lived with their parents near the outskirts of Athens Greece. Their father was a born werewolf but their mother was human but because of her love for him and his for her he turned her after the triplets were a year old. When the triplets were a little over five years old the family was at the beach for a little vacation trip and the triplets witnessed some events that led to the death of their parents. The triplets were taken in by their mother's Amazon family but Grace was afraid that the people who were responsible for what happened to their family might find them.

"I don't, the alpha will most likely visit you before hand." Alec patiently answered, his arms extending out and grabbing onto her we she tried to duck under her. So Rayne was her name? Interesting. "Well Rayne, you've stumbled onto pack territory. To stay alive and return to where you strayed from, you need to listen. Someone will be back for you, before the full moon is complete." He listed, walking towards the entry way of the cell and pushing her into the secure environment. "Trust me."

Eris explored the forested areas, even though it already seems like she's did it a million times. Her paws traced the faint outlines of her pack mates tracks. Eris was quite bored, so she resorted to heading towards the town once more. Being in the town made her feel normal, when she felt her humanity was lost. The blood on her paws could never be washed away. She was a wild creature. An animal that can't be tamed. Hurriedly, she sped up her pace until the town came into sight. The shift happened fast, and after several moments, she was dressed in her black attire once more. Eris leaned against a tree for support as she breathed heavily. After so many times of shifting, she still would never get used to it.

Together the triplets walked toward the village. Grace’s head was down and she seemed withdrawn which was not normal for the oldest of the three. Talon glanced over and touched his sister’s shoulder slightly his grey eyes meeting hers then he glanced over and met Ari’s eyes. “What do you think we should do Ari?” He asked his younger sister as he looked at Grace again. Ari shook her head and sighed softly “I don’t know Talon but I know that we need to stop somewhere and see if we can find some food I know you and Grace have got to be starving by now.” Grace looked up then back down and sighed “I wish mom and dad were here. I don’t think we fit in here.” She said softly her voice soft and tired sounding. “Maybe we can go into that little store we saw the first day we got here. The old man that works there has kind eyes.” She added as she sighed again. Being only slightly older than her twin brother and sister often made her feel like she had to protect them but at the same time she wondered if she was doing what was best for her siblings. They were not yet ready for life without their parents and hadn’t been since they lost their parents nine years ago. Granted the Amazons had raised the triplets for the eight of the last nine years but now they had been in the states for over a year and had settled in the forest between Wolf Mountain and the village. They would often slip into the village and rummage for scraps of food if they could find some before the trash ran. Most days and nights they went without eating and for two young wolves and their human sister that was not a good idea. All three of them were tall for their age and dark haired as well as grey eyed. Most would have found them exotic looking if it weren’t for the fact that they were so thin. Talon kind of smiled a wary smile as they headed slowly for the village. Earlier they had taken time to bathe with the last of the soap that they had and needed more. "Grace are you ok? You are way too quiet." Talon said softly to his sister as he touched her shoulder feeling her jump at his touch. When they reached the village the trio headed in the direction of the general store then when they reached it they slipped inside quietly splitting up each of them going to gather the things they needed for a few days.
