When we finally stop I look over at Ash seeing a trail of blood following us. "Hey, are you okay?" I ask her.

Ash pokes her head out of the water and starts to curl up, her eyes full of pain"I don't think so.."she says softly, part of her tail was gone

My eyes widen when I get a good look at her tail. "Just try to hold on okay? I'm going to do everything I can to help you," I promise her before getting to work. I take some seaweed and wrap it around her wound as a sort of a cast, but it should also stop the bleeding.

Ash looks at him sadly"a mermaid with a bad tail is a dead mermaid"she says and looks down

"No. I won't let you die. There has to be someway for you to be able to heal," I say quietly.

[SabertheWolf]

Ash looks at him again"Only small things heal...not missing parts of our tails"she says

[33_Marching Ants]

"Then I'll find a way for it to heal," I say suddenly determined. I'm not going to let this stop me...I'm not going to let anything stop me.

Ash keeps her gaze down as she says nothing else

"Hey," I say softly as I hold onto her hand. "I'll find a way to heal you."

Ash looks at him"how am I supposed to get home? The only reason I could get here was because I used everything in me...I can't live like that until you "heal"me"she says
