Under the Sea V.2 Accepting!

"Ow!!" Kaii covered her nose and turned away, eyes shut tight to ward off the pain. "Zeke??" She opened her eyes. Disappointment filled them a second before she smiled and said, "hello Zero. Sorry- I mistook you for someone else..." She took him aside. "You aren't dressed properly. Everything okay?"

Zero looked up at her, frightened. He looked back at the window that he had come through to see a guard.

"You there! Stop!" The guard shouted.

Zero panicked and took off as fast as he could.

"Hey- wait!!" Kaii swished her tail and zoomed after him. "Guard! Leave that man alone! I know him!!" She caught up, out of breath, hair askew -as askew as it could be underwater- and looking disheveled. "Zero!"

Zero swam to a dead-end. He turned around, his back pressed to the wall, and sank to the floor. He began to cry. "P-plu-please!" He pleaded to Kaii. "I-I-I won't d-du-du-do it e-ehv-ever a-ah-again! J-j-ju-just l-let me g-g-gu-go!"

Kaii knelt beside him and gave a glance to the guard. "Finest clothing. Food. Water. Please," she said. He nodded and swam off, grateful he won't be yelled at for doing his job. At least, for now. Kaii looked back to Zero. "No no. No, you're fine..." She offered him her hand. "Come on. Come with me. You're fine. You're not going to be punished. It's me, Kaii, remember? I helped you before. Come on."

Zero looked up at her in fear. He remembered her. He didn't have to be afraid of her. Taking her hand, he followed after her closely like a little toddler, not daring to let go of her hand.

Kaii swam with him, trying to straighten her dress again. At least nothing had really picked up in the party yet. She wouldn't be missed; most likely wouldn't be noticed if she changed her dress either. The girl sighed and ran her free hand through her hair, taking Zero to a dressing room. "Clothes should be in there," she told him, opening the door. "Clean up. Make yourself look nice. I need to change."

Zero looked around the room in confusion. He didn't know what to do with any of this. He looked back at Kaii for help.

Kaii gave Zero a look that masked her thoughts. "Too old to play with dolls, Zero, so you're going to have to dress yourself up today, cool?" She said as she swum into the room, taking out several layers of clothing for his torso. "I can give advice, but I'm not dressing you." She laid them out for him and tossed him a hairbrush- as much as one could toss a hairbrush underwater. "Have at it kiddo."

Zero caught it then looked at her and blinked. He understood what she ment, but that didn't change the fact that he didn't know what to do.
