Gaby just stared: the phone ringing. Her dad standing up and answering. His face going pale. How he threw her birthday cake away. How he grabbed her and got her in the car. How they got to the institute. How they showed her her mother's body. How she cried and how her father screamed at her "Your bad luck! Don't ever call me dad!" how she ran and got caught by the cops. How she pleaded not to send her back. How when she was back home her dad stared at her and screamed at her. How he called her a "Bad luck charm". And the only thing she did when she was 10 was absorb the words.
Gaby cried and turned around

Kotek watched it all without saying a work, but his face slowly grew more and more disgusted. How could a parent treat their child that way? At the end, his teeth were gritted. "Please tell me you hate your dad..." he said.

Gaby turned to look at him "Yeah. I hate my dad. On my13th birthday he said he was sorry. But all that hate accumulated. And I said it was ok, but it wasn't... He gives me money and everything to fix what he did. Its not gonna change what I feel..." she sighed "I'll show you my 11th birthday"

Joseph just stayed quiet and listened, as he always did when someone was playing.

"H-Huh?" Forest said, quickly looking at May. "A-Ah. I didn't." she said. "Ah, but since you're here, have you seen my sister?"

"What he said to you then was something that doesn't deserve forgiveness, in my opinion...but then again, he's not my parent. If my dad did that, I'd probably forgive him just so I can live peacefully at home." Kotek said.

Gaby looked at him. "Ready for my 11th birthday? That's the year my dad became rich." she mumbled:

And there she was stuck in the basement. The dad shouted for the servants to come feed the 'pig'. Then one of them came in and hugged her "Happy Birthday, child." Gaby smiled her face bruised "Thank Ama. I miss mom... Why is dad so mean... I didn't do anything. He just threw me in the basement when we found out mom died. I'm lonely" she started crying. "He'll pay. You'll see." Ama smiled and kissed Gaby's dirty forehead and left. She had brought her a small piece of cake and some chicken and mashed potatoes. Gaby smiled and stood up but fell back down. She got up and walked to the door and heard him "She's a useless Thing. I'm gonna give her to adoption. I don't want her... Today her birthday, the day her mother died. I'm gonna..." she heard his footsteps and ran back down and hid behind a box. He grabbed her and hit her with a belt "You little brat!" she screamed but Ama, Bryan, Anthony, Ana just looked at her, they couldn't do anything about it. Gaby screamed she tried to run away. But he grabbed her food and threw it at her face "Happy birthday, little brat." and he left. Gaby hugged her knees and cried. "I'm gonna make you pay for this" she cried softly.

Gaby stared at it... She started trembling. This was to much. But she kept watching "I hate him!" she said
