[Quetzaloe]

Silver ran through the forest in full-horse form. She enjoyed the cold air running through her mane and creating a slight burn in her lungs. Soon she came across some tracks that seemed different than most. After gracefully shifting into a more normal appearance she started following the tracks.

"Keep up!" She chirped. She turned on all four's and darted off into the forest, bushy tail flapping in the wind.

"Why do these look so familiar?" Silver asked herself. Then it hit her. Hooves! A bit smaller than her own. Excited now, she started running after the trail, slowing down when she caught sight of- Was that a deer-centaur!?! And who was he talking to!? She couldn't see, but as he left, she decided to follow him. She'd been starting to get bored anyways.

As soon as Marzio had finally gotten his eyes on what he was pursuing, it was off in a sprint. There was no way he would be able to catch it in the densely forested environment. His eyes shot upwards, the sky was almost completely hidden behind the branches and leaves of the trees around him. A squawk of agitation rang forth from the gryphon as he realized his hunt was futile. He had expended more energy than it was worth already.

He trotted to a stop, his warm breath visible in the air. Thankfully, he had a thick pelt that locked away most of the chill. Marzio walked forward at a snail's pace, growling to himself about the failure to capture the canine. He lashed out with his talons, striking deep gashes along the trunk of one of the trees. His anger was only slightly diverted. Normally, he would have been at least slightly more patient. However, it had been nearly a week since he last had a sufficient meal. Bones were great and all, but he was only so much of a vulture. Sometimes he craved something a bit more tasteful.

The light colored beast stopped in his tracks, shaking his head for a moment before he lifted it high to listen for any sounds of possible prey. It was unlikely that he found anything close by and he knew that without a doubt. His crashing about would've scared anything within earshot away.

Silver heard a loud crash and ha can inner debate. Follow the centaur, or go investigate the crash? Finally she turned, morphed, and galloped towards the loud sound.

Marzio stood still as a rock for only a few seconds. He couldn't leave himself a sitting dummy. Waiting for prey to come to him would be far too time consuming. Or would it? Just as the gryphon regained a looser posture and raised his talons to take a step forward, the faint sound of hooves falling upon the snow echoed in his ears. His ears stood tall to catch every little sound. The creature was large. It had to be either a loose horse or an elk. That would be a satisfying meal if he'd ever had one.

All at once, the gryphon's form shifted into that of a human. It was absolutely freezing, but he needed to be able to dive from above somehow. The man latched onto a nearby tree and swiftly scaled it with the help of his sharp talons that lingered. Upon a thick branch, he crouched at the ready. In one motion, he could jump down upon the creature and have his talons sank into it. All it would take was precise timing.

Shilah entered a small hollow. A puddle of water lay to the right, and the hollow was center we around a thick tree. A few pelt tents sat around the tree, covering small tokens, trinkets weapons, and tools, stolen from hunters, as well as bits of food.
"I have a place to sleep far up the tree, in a hole." She informed him.

Silver reached the crash sight, but to her dismay found nothing but some scuff marks. She shifted back into her human form just as someone fell- or jumped!?- on top of her. Something sharp sank into her left arm and she screamed in pain before kicking off the person- or thing!?- on top of her.
