Sage whimpered as his mate got in his truck to leave him. He didn't know whether or not to shift to his human form or not. He just placed his paws on the back of Roberts truck and hoped in, laying there. If Robert was going to leave him, he was going with him.

Robert sighed as he got in his truck, starting the engine before driving off to his motel room. After a bit of driving he pulled into one of the motel's parking spaces and getting out of his truck.

Sage held on for the ride and shifted human partway through. When the truck stopped he waited for Robert to see if he would come to check on him or to see if he had shifted.

[Todd.]

"He probably was desperate... Wolves don't go attacking on like this..." He sighed softly and looked around for a moment, "Would you... like to hang out any day? Like... tomorrow maybe?"

Robert parked his truck before getting out with a sigh, noticing something in his trunk. "*insert curse words here*" he muttered before walking to the back of his truck, "I thought I told you to leave." he said while crossing his arms, "I spared your life and you follow me home like some lost puppy..."

Ayden shrugged, "It was still pretty traumatizing for a ten year old." he muttered with a sigh before glancing back at Will, "Sure, I'd love to." he said as they approached the apartment complex.

"Of course I follow you like a lost puppy. For the first thing I am part Canis. Also you are my mate and as a werewolf that is very important to me so I need to be with you to protect and love you." Sage spoke happily looking at Robert. Sage was quite innocent and believed everyone was good, especially his mate. His mate would be the best man ever.

Robert looked at him shocked, "Hell no, I'm not mated to some wolf!" he said backing up slightly, "You're obviously mistaken... I don't need protection... let alone someone to love..." he said the last part a bit quieter though was slightly blushing.

Sage whimpered and tears came to his eyes. It was a wolf's worst nightmare, their mate didn't want them. "Would it make you happy if I left? If it makes you happy I will leave..." Sage spoke softly.

Robert sighed, he felt a slight pity towards the man. "Don't cry..." he said looking down at the ground. "Fine you can stay..." he muttered with a light sigh, "How did something like you become something of nightmares..." he muttered to himself, ignoring the fact this man called him his mate.

[I looked at Roberts form and when I saw how old he was I raised Sage's age.]
Sage now grinned and laughed happily before shifting back to his wolf form and hopping out of the truck and beside Robert, waiting for him to lead the way.
