Alyssa jumped into the water and immediately went under the water, knowing the longer you wait to get in the colder it will seem. She resurfaced and smiled at Nick, then began to float on her back, her ears still in water, causing her to hear the whooshing of the water.

Nick resurfaced and smiled at her, moving hair out of his eyes so he could see her clearly.

She looked over at nick sideways and abruptly righted herself and dived under to swim out farther. Know she couldnt even touch the ground on her tip toes. She tread water and laughed, "Shortness doesnt help when you're trying to swim!"

Nick laughed and swam over to her. "Don't drown on me now!' He teased

"well i guess you'd have to save me before that happens!" Alyssa giggled as her head dunked underwater unintentionally. She came back up and sputtered a little bit but just laughed and fixed her hair so she could see.

Nick chuckled. "You bet I would save you" he said and bent his knees so the water was up to his neck.

Alyssa tried to make herself sink so she could touch the ground to no avail, "how deep is it out here?!" She blinked in surprise when she noticed it was only up to his neck, "You my friend are a giant." She laughed and stuck her tongue out at him teasingly.

Nick chuckled at her comment at his height. He smiled over at her and then looked far out in the lake
