A long time ago, a war broke, and during that war
a disease ripped throughout the land, resulting in
'The Insanity' as most people call it. The government
is always watching us, and we will never escape them.
We live by a code, F.E.A.R., Face Everything And Recover.
From what we understand, The Insanity harnesses
your worst fears and unleashes them into the
real world, or at least, your mental world. You
see your worst fears come to life before your
eyes, and you slowly go insane.

░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
Hard-Heart Village is where is all began... the war
broke out during the 18th century, and went on for a
long time, and in some part of the world, it is still.
Ian Elliot Newton named this town after the people who
live in it. We all have hard hearts, and hard heads, for
that matter.
We all live here, well, if we don't have The Insanity.
Those with The Insanity live in a far away village, or not
in a village at all. When you first get The Insanity, you
don't know you have it, it takes a long time for the symptoms
to show up. It takes about 6-8 weeks before you can tell for
certain you have The Insanity; First, you have the cold
symptoms, then, you have nausea and vomit, a lot.
Eventually you have a really high fever, sometimes
up to the 130's, but you still live. After a while, you
have the symptoms of the Black Plague and Anthrax.
In the end, your eyes turn red, you begin to lose
you limbs, and you beg for death. All during that...
you see things, you worse nightmares, they come
to life in your mental world, and you slowly go
insane. Eventually you'll give up on life, and beg
for pure death. But, on another subject, back to
Hard-Heart; Here, we all obey one person's rule,
and who that person is... well, he died, a while,
it was Ian, and only me and a few others know he
died. We post newspaper articles and TV announcements
so everyone thinks he's still alive.
And who am I? You might ask...

The Outlands are where all the people infected by
The Insanity, or the Grablers, live.
The Outlands is a dangerous place, filled with infected
Grablers, only an insane Predator or one of us, would
dare go outside.
Grablers are insane, they will think you say things you
don't really say, and then, they will kill you. You never
want to be alone with one, let alone three or four.
I don't know much about the Outlands, but what
I do know, it that they are dangerous.

It is foretold that when the light dims into the black mist,
two spirits will come forth, and fight the dragon that
dwells in death.
Ghoststar is one of those spirits, and what makes him
so important, is that he will come before the dragon shows.
Ghoststar is supposedly the last Dire Wolf on planet earth, and
he will rise when the moon turns blue, and he can howl with his
family once more.
