Zeke stood back up and stepped away from Ivory. He hated to admit it, but he agreed with Blaire. This was the first time Zeke had felt comfortable and at home in his life.

We're an odd little group, that's for sure. But it feels so...right. Bernael thought to himself.

Ivory glared at Bernael and Zeke at the same time. "You," She said, pointing at Zeke, "Don't do that again." Then she pointed at Bernael. "You, had me cornered and in a panic and had insulted me. I was returning the favor." Then she looked at Blaire. "Huh. You guys hide really well. Same for shapeshifters. Except we get the bad rep from people becasue they confuse us with werewolves, who by the way, are nearly hairless, tall, hunched over things that don't have a concience. Totally different." Wow, I haven't spoke this much in years.... (referencing Mr.Moony from HP)

Bernael shrugged. "I'd like a day when I wasn't cornered and insulted." He was only half-joking.

"And I repeat, You and me both. Today was the third day in a row, although this one escalated beyond what I had expected." Retorted Ivory.

I looked at each member of the group. "So... are you all living here? In the forest." I asked, wondering if I was the only one running from something.

Ivory nodded. "Yeah. Few years now, infact. Situaltion back in the normal world is.... not very welcoming."

"I live here. Been for, dunno, 5 years? Dunno about anyone else," Bernael said, shrugging.

Zeke shook his head. "The forest will never be the home of a demon," he replied. He thought of the place he lived before this. He shuddered at the thought. If there was one thing he hated more than humans, it was that place.

Ivory tilted her head. "Why not? It's got food, water, entertainment.... well, if you like hunting that is."
