Finally I perk awake. She starts to talk about lab experiments on humans. Mega humans. She's bring on the power discussion. She talks about previous experiments. Then she says, "here is experiment E441364." She drags out a cage. Who could it be. "On guard," I mentally tell Rufus. He nods and gets into an attacking position. "This girl has the power of earth, she's been here this whole time. This cage is empty. Our experiment is in the audience." She smiles directly at me and everyone gasps. Guards grab me and Rufus bites there ankles. She's known this whole time. No wonder they wanted me on the front. I struggle to grab my gun out of my bag. I shoot the guards in the legs, not enough to kill them, and sprint. No trees in Paris. Dang. I rub to the nearest park and sink Rufus and I into the soil. I travel back to the house. When I open my eyes, I see Alexis. I sigh and sit down in the grass Rufus lickings face. My wrists burn from there huge hands clamping on me. I toss and turn in the grass with Rufus. I breathe heavily.
