Bane nodded and leaned on her, trying to stand and get his legs under him "I'm glad to be back and see both you and Georgie" he told her (I finished his form finally, its on the first page)

Ondine led him away, lowering him down slowly in front of the fire. "Georgie!" She called, running into the barn and getting the bag. She usually kept poultices and bandages for emergencies.
"Were is it the worst?"

Bane looked himself over "my back and arms...I think" he said warily, he sat back letting the heat from the fire warm him, he closed his eyes

Georgie heard her name and looked up at Liz "we should probably get back to the barn"

Liz turned, squinting at the fire. It looked like two people were sitting by it but she couldn't tell for sure. "You might be right, lead the way."

Ondine sighed, getting the medicines ready for use. "Take your shirt off so I can fix you up." He couldn't imagine why somebody would hurt him so badly.

Bane deftly pulled his shirt over his head and remained still, watching her "the mages are terrible" he informed her "they have many people in the dungeons, digging tunnels toward Edelivia and Eroniel" he sounded tired

Georgie trotted toward the fire, as she came closer to recognized the tired looking figure as Bane "Daddy!" she cried

Ondine shook her head, dabbing the herbs onto his cuts and bruises. "Why tunnels?" she asked, looking over his shoulders at Georgiana and Liz. She smiled a little.

Liz blushed deeply, seeing Bane shirtless made her feel awkward.

Bane sighed "they're trying to get into the empire and the two kingdoms through underground means" he noticed Liz and turned his head so she couldn't see him roll his eyes

Georgie gave a cry of delight and hugged Bane "daddy you're home" she said contentedly

"Don't they have dragons at their beck and call? Why not fly?" Ondine asked, wrapping a bandage around Bane's torso She smiled at Georgie she loved the little girl.

Liz darted into the barn, feeling very uncomfortable.

Bane sighed "the dragons don't like to be enslaved, they're a noble and dying race, they do not appreciate being treated like vermin, the only thing holding them to the mage's bidding are enchanted chains, once you get a dragon in the air, you are completely powerless"
