Rowan shrugged. Though his words truthfully sounded a bit alien, even to himself. Perhaps it was from somewhere, or at least a part of it was. He still disliked this girl for some reason, as if she was expecting an answer. "Ask someone else," Rowan grumbled in response, not going to dignify this inmate with a real response. As one could see, Rowan wasn't exactly the nicest of empowered folk here.

Rose frowned and watched Rowan carefully. She had met this kind of person before- so stuck up in them selves they wouldn't even notice if everyone else on earth died. Rose muttered something to herself and spoke just a bit louder "I'll be watching you." She had no idea where the tough guy attitude came from but it fit.

He simply shrugged at that; he didn't exactly like this girl, so why should he care what she did? Observation was a skill that was not incongruous to the boy, as he too, had once watched inmates he disliked. It had been easier back when he had two eyes, true, but nevertheless, he could still attempt. "As will the scientists," the empowered responded, even if his twisted words didn't make much sense.

However, something inside him lurched, and a sudden feeling washed over himself. If he was going to be this rude to her, he might as well warn her of..something, himself? "There's two sides to a single coin.."

Skey curled up tighter around her legs, her hands over her ears as though attempting to block out a lot of noise and her eyes screwed shut tightly. More images flashed through her mind. A boy throwing a stick for a dog. An ice cream van. The dog lying in the road surrounded in a puddle of red. Laughter. Crying. Small glimpses of someone's future that walk through her mind freely. Even the collar didnt stop them any more. "Make it stop! Make it stop!" She squealed suddenly, her rocking stopping as she crouched over further.

Rose scrunched up her face and looked hard at the boy, after a moment she finally spoke. "Why do you have to be so cryptic? Can you just say something straight forwards?" She tried to use her charm speak so he would answer something understandable but just then someone shouted. Rose ran to the other wall and called at the shaking girl "are you ok?"

Rowan followed Rose, upon hearing the terrified squeals of a fellow inmate. He listened close to the wall that separated the two from her, kneeling beside the obstruction close enough to the extent where he could press his palms tightly up against it. Given the fact that he could hear no mechanical whirring that signified a machine, or additional noises that would identify a scientist, Rowan guessed the yelling girl was alone. But with what? They were far enough from the cafeteria where the collars weren't on full force, so perhaps her terrified sounds were simply her superior ability overloading her.

He turned to Rose beside him, and answered her question the best he could. "Vague answers collect more information. If the scientist think you're a simpleton, a unintellectual fool, they are more likely to discuss more..unintentional topics when you're around."

I heard a girl squealing in a cell a few over and I groaned. What's happening now? I thought to myself, and I heaved myself off of my bed. I walked over to the front of the room and looked over, seeing a girl on the ground. I saw a few other people looking, and I am praying that they are experiments for what I do next. "Is she ok?" seems like a harmless question, but these guards are harsh.

Just as suddenly as the screaming started, it stopped and the girl went slack, her back falling back against the wall and her legs slid gently down to the ground once more. For a moment she muttered things, inaudible, before she opened her eyes and fell silent. Her eyes were a milky white, her irises nowhere to be seen. A second later she blinked and everything was as it had been before. Shaking slightly, she stood and and made her way onto her bed in the corner of the room and curled up, her back firmly against the wall, where she murmured quietly to herself.
