Brixton yelled happily as she pared above the clouds on her large, white wings. Above her was her pet Pegasus, Myth, kicking his hooves around. They both flew down until they were on the ground and she folded her wings onto her back. "Alright Myth, time to go to the cave." Even a white horse in the middle of the woods with a white haired, red eyed girl is strange, but a winged horse and a winged girl is a very strange sight indeed.

Atticus sighed loudly and looked at his watch. He wasn't expected home for another two hours. Shrugging, he turned and stared longingly into the forest. People in town always warned the teenagers to stay out. He scanned the road and with one last shrug, turned and jogged into the forest. He looked around in wonder, watching the birds swoop between trees and rodents scuttle away. What's so dangerous about this place? He thought in confusion. Hearing a voice, he slowed down to a walk, furrowing his brow. Atticus crept forward, swallowing as he though of all the bad scenarios that could happen. He stepped on a twig and cringed as it made a loud snap.

Brixton spun around as she heard a snap. "Myth, go hide. I'll be fine." She walked towards where the sound had come from and gasped as she stumbled, and fell onto her back. The girl's feathers on her wings were ruffled and untidy because of the fall and her hands were shaking.

Atticus' eyes widened as his eyes landed on her wings. "Oh my god..." He whispered and covered his mouth with his hand. He swallowed and tentatively stepped forward into view. "A-are you okay?" He asked in a soft whisper, watching her like a wild animal. His stance was defensive and he was ready to bolt out of the woods if she turned out to be aggressive.

"Are you a h-human?" She started to shuffle back until she hit a tree and her red eyes darted around.

He frowned. "Um...yeah? What are you?" He asked, looking her over in awe. He slowly began to relax and made no moves to advance, seeing she was scared.

"Eek!" Brixton tried to fly up but her wing was tangled in some rambles and it pulled her down. When she hit the ground, her head hit a rock and she fell unconscious.

Atticus yelped and jumped forward, picking her up. "Uh...this isn't good. Not good at all." He muttered, panicking. He couldn't take her back to his house; someone was bound to see them.
