Uri carefully removed the bullet trying not to cause Hugo too much pain.

Marie sat up slightly and winked. "what were you doing, anyways? In the basement, I mean."

Hugo growled loudly in pain.

Merrik chuckled. "are you certain you want to know?" He smiled slyly.

Uri pulled away. "it is done my sweet..."

Marie laughed lightly and returned his smile. "Ahh, why wouldn't I want to know?"

Hugo grumbled softly and looked up at her. A thankful smile was on his muzzle as he gently nuzzled her hand.

Merrik sat next to her on the bed. "perhaps it is meant to be a surprise."

Uri gently pet his head and kissed his nose.

Marie grinned. "Perhaps I don't like surprises." She inched closer to him.

Hugo blinked and lowered his head. He slowly blacked out.

Merrik smiled. "would you rather I not try to make you gifts then?"

Uri sat next to Hugo gently petting him.
