Ava nodded and walked into the hallway. She stopped dead in her tracks as she saw Zaylen and locked eyes with him. Her heart pounded in her chest.

He healed the rest of the wound then turned human and carried her inside

Luna hadn't yet seen Ava, "Hey, at least he's as nice as Bambi."

Gunnar heard his sisters remark and walked into the room glaring at her.

Aspen smiled, "So, who is your family anyway?"

Sarah woke up a few hours later in her bed with her leg healed.

"I can't trust anyone. The shape shifter government could have sent agents..." Scarlet thought to herself

"Why are you always listening to coversations?"

"Some humans that were killed" she said quietly.

Zaylens eyes softened and he smiled at Ava. "Sure, he just likes to punch people who call him that... Ava..."

Ava was still frozen in her spot unable to look away or move.

Vander sighed. "I don't know. Curiosity maybe, or for assurance."

Gunnar snorted and turned his glare on Zaylen.

Luna looked up at Ava then her brother and couldn't help laughing.

Sarah got up and walked around the room then into the living room.
