Creatures in Disguise

Some say that mythical creatures, like werewolves and vampires, don't exist, and are simply legends. After all, said creatures were hunted off years ago, eradicated to nothing. Now, the creatures are no more.
Or so some think.
In truth, the mythical creatures are still alive, but live under the guise of humans. However, a group of hunters, dubbed the Pursuers, know this well, and strive to eradicate them, like in the past. Will the creatures be able to outwit the Pursuers, or be staring down the barrel of a gun?

[ʀᴏᴄᴋᴇʀ ɢɪʀʟ]

As Pandora strode down the street, a sigh escaped from her throat. It was winter here in New York, and snow was gently drifting down onto the nearby buildings. A cold breeze blew, sending chills down her spine.
Pandora looked to be around 23, with waist length black hair and fair skin. Both of her eyes were scarred out, creating an X-shaped scar over her forehead and eye hollows. Other than that, Pandora wore a dark blue trenchcoat, with a long white scarf draped around her neck, with black pants and a pair of dark boots.
She continued to walk, using the buildings' walls as a guide, along with her nose twitching nonstop. In reality, she was a werewolf, with dark grey fur, a strong sense of smell, and equipped with a nasty bite.
Pandora continued down, until her nose caught a strong smell. It smelled like... coffee. She assumed that she was using the walls of a coffee shop. With nothing to lose, she made her way through the entrance, and plunked herself down at an empty table, still sniffing. (D)

Faith walked quietly through the streets of New York, wary of her surroundings. The girl seemed to be around twenty one years old, she had strawberry blonde hair which barely touched her shoulders and green eyes. What she wore was simple, a dark green hoodie, jeans and a pair of black boots. She looked normal, but in truth she wasn't. In fact, she wasn't even human. She was an eastern dragon, her real self had a long, serpent like body, green scales along with sharp claws and fangs. She preferred her dragon form, but had to appear as a human, for if she changed she would be hunted down and possibly killed, which wasn't a very good thing.
Freezing and wishing she had worn better clothing, the girl decided to go inside to warm up a bit. She reached a coffee shop, and went straight in. Once inside, she noticed something-her someone. There was a girl, with scars where her eyes supposed to be. Faith frowned a bit, sensing that something about this girl was a little off.

Pandora caught a new scent as she heard someone enter the shop. For some reason, she kept getting the scent of a lizard. "Strange," she thought. Unless someone had a pet reptile of some sort, this seemed odd. She glanced around, nose twitching, trying to find the source of the scent.

Frowning, Faith sat down at one of the tables. Something didn't seem right...so the girl was tense and remained alert in case something jumped out at her. That girl didn't seen like a regular human, but if she wasn't normal...then what was she? Was she a creature like she was, or even a Pursuer? She hoped that it wasn't the latter, running into a Pursuer wouldn't be good for Faith. She pulled out a book she had with her and quietly began to read, though she would occasionally glance over to where Pandora was.

Pandora continued to sniff for quite some time, until she gave up, with a wolf-like growl escaping from her throat. Where was the scent coming from? Maybe there was a creature hiding here too? Countless questions surged through her mind, growling softly all the while.

Faith flipped through the pages of the book, her light green eyes scanning the text. Hearing the door open, she looked up from her book and to the entrance of the shop. Two people had walked in, and the girl frowned a bit at them before turning her attention back to her book. They looked normal, so she didn't think they were anything special.

As Liam stepped in, a slight smirk played on his face. This seemed like a good place to relax, but only for a little while. He, along with his partner, were Pursuers, and were on the hunt for creatures, with guns on their backs. So far, he'd found nothing yet, but as he plunked down at an empty table, he caught eye of a girl. She was growling quietly, but it didn't seem human like at all. He eyed her, interested. "That girl may be a werewolf," Liam thought. "But we might as well continue watching, to be sure."

Aaron sat in the chair across from his partner, studying the people inside of the coffee shop. They were Pursuers, searching for mythical creatures under the disguise of humans. When Liam motioned towards a girl, he turned his attention to her and smirked. That girl was making an odd growling sound, a sound that no human could make. "She seems like one." He agreed "And if she is, she shouldn't be too hard to take down, it looks like she can't see." He added, as the girl had scars over her eyes. However, he didn't know that her other senses were very good. "Do you think we'll be lucky and maybe find another?" He wondered, it seemed like they have found a werewolf, but maybe they'll find another like her.

Faith shut her book and let out a soft sigh, thinking of leaving. She put her book away and looked around the shop, about to stand but something made her freeze. The two people who had come in earlier had weapons on their backs. Where they Persuers? Her heart began to race and she stayed in her seat, wanting to get out, but if these men were Persuers, she didn't want them to notice her.

"Who knows," Liam replied, placing his feet on the table. "If we do, I doubt they'll be as easy to bring down like her."

Pandora's growling faded when she overheard the Pursuer's conversation. An uneasy feeling churned in her stomach, along with a bit of anger. "So, they think I'll be easy to take down?", she thought. "Well, they have a whole other thing coming to them." She shot a glare towards the duo, and pulled her lips back into a snarl, revealing rows of sharp fangs.
