I walk out of headquarters and back into the woods with my new weapons, hoping I can actually have a not terrible encounter with Opal, even though there's no way that can possibly happen.

[horror.]

Opal followed him and disappeared into a tree, before reappearing without his disguise. His eyes followed the boy curiously.

Harrison

I see a faint bit of movement out of the corner of my eye, and turn towards it. Nothing's there. I expect someone's following me, but I don't know if it's Opal, Liar-boy, or someone else. Come to think of it, Opal and Liar-boy look kinda similar. Either a coincidence, they're the same person, or I'm just really paranoid. Could easily be any of those.

Opal jumped out from a tree and landed on Harrison's shoulders. "Hey."

I jump a bit, and swing my sword somewhere above me ish.

Opal dodged the blade in mid air and landed on his feet. "That wasn't very nice." He smirked.

"Neither are you," I say, tossing a knife at him.

"I'm always-" he moves his head to the side, narrowly missing the flying knife. "Nice." He said plucking the knife off the tree. "It's not everyday someone tries to kill you." Opal grimaces.

"Hmm. Should be," I say as I realize throwing knives were the worst possible choice of weapon. Now he has a weapon.
