"I can tell you - with certainty - that they don't. I ate garlic once to get it in my bloodstream and the nest was fine. They don't take very kindly to getting staked, but it doesn't kill them," Draco said, laughing quietly. He then listened to Ray talk as he explained sleeping. "Yes, well, maybe it's a comfort to you, but I definitely have to do it. I suppose if you're immortal you don't have to?"

"I suppose. I dunno, it's all still kinda surreal and ridiculous to me," he shrugged, picking at the hem of his shirt. Half the time, he still went to sleep hoping to wake up to his sister screaming in his ear about some silly thing or another. "Anyway, erm, if you need to get to sleep or something, I could head out? I wouldn't want to impose..."

"Or," Draco said, blushing slightly. "You could stay here and protect me from other vampires."

"I - I mean if you want to! You don't have to. Only if you want to." Draco was blushing hardcore by the time he finished talking.

Ray kept his gaze glued to the floor and bit at his lip to hide the wide smile threatening to take over. "Well, I suppose I could. I mean, if it'd make you feel safer to have me here, how could I refuse?" he teased, giving up and smiling at Draco.
It would be nice to have company for a change, even if said company was passed out. 'I think this will be my first sleepover... how am I this old and have never slept at a friend's house? That's just sad...'
