He caught her quickly and helped her up, poking her cheek. "You did that one purpose silly." He laughed, then looked back over at Sam and couldn't help but crack a joke. "Hey, we may need you to clean up some guards here soon, could be messy." He winked, then started walking out again to the lounge.

Kayla stood up, frowning at how short she was next to him. Her eyes widened, and she couldn't help stroking the feathers. "They're so pretty..." Her icy blue eyes lit up.

Essie held on to Ethan's arm and sort of slid on the mop water. She grinned. "No I didn't... It was on accident. Or instinct. Or instincct, accident, and on purpose all at once," she rambled.

I made my way down the hallway, bouncing a bit, ears flicking. I heard a scream coming from one of the cells, though it was muffled. He thought he heard something, but his heart was pounding in his ears so he couldn't tell. He let out a small, terrified noise and struggled in the chains.

Essie looked around, and saw the medic that had cut her wings off inspecting the wings. Her wings. She felt a hold punched through her stomach and looked at the ground.

He noticed them too and let go of Essie's hand, stalking up on the guy and grabbing him by the collar. "You think that's funny huh?" He glared daggers at him.

Essie gasped and froze, not sure what was going on exactly.

The guy yelped. "No! No! We were just going to give her batwings instead!"

Essie's eyes widened. Batwings? Why batwings? Why not feathered ones? Batwings were a sign of evil, weren't they?

He lifted him off his feet and growled softly. "I wish you weren't telling the truth, why on earth would you do that?!" His eyes shimmered darkly.

the young man gave her a small look of confusion. " they're a pain." he loved them though, he really did. it fascinated him. of course, indigo also had issues keeping all the feathers in place. sometimes there would be an area where the feathers were sticking up or out the wrong way, which was terribly painful. '' but, thank you.'' he honestly did like his wings being touched, though he didn't really tell anyone that. it was a soothing feeling really, and calmed his anxiety.
