Shadow opened the door, "Yes, Star?" The dragon-illusion was now clinging to his chest. His heart was pounding, a newspaper clipping hung in his grip, and his eyes were half-sunken.

"Is everything alright?" She asked him. Shadow seemed to be thinking about something.

[Locker-Neighbor]

Shadow lifted up the newspaper clipping, "The anniversary of my parents' death," he extended the clipping out to Star, where it had a picture of a crumbled car, the article spoke of two people and a dog dying in a car crash. The dragon-illusion crawled down his arm, shrank, and began to weave around his fingers.

I skipped the paper. "My condolences." I said to him, handing the paper back.

Shadow shook his head, "It's nothing, Star. It was many years ago."

History♉
Her history is quite interesting, as it is filled with many gaps. She was born on December 21st in the middle of a blizzard. Her mother died shortly after from blood loss of the birth. Her father was murdered when she was 2 by an assasin. She was then taken into many different houses, all of them having tragic fates. When she was 8, Shinigami/Shia learned that she had a darkness power and began exercising it in secret. She soon ran out of homes when she was 14 and has been looking for a place to stay since then, switching out in between places.

Shinigami/Shia is very dark on the outside, but on the inside she is very nice and wants someone to talk to. She has many different emotions.

I just nodded. A soft noise came from my room. "I'll be right back." I said and was off, shutting the door behind me as I went into my room. Hopefully no one noticed it too much. I didn't want to tell anyone yet.

Shadow watched Star leave and closed the door, something the girl had forgotten to do as she left. He tucked the newspaper clipping back into his drawer and sat down on his bed. The dragon-shadow was replaced with the shadow of a Labrador, which lay at his side, one paw draped across his lap. He ran his hand across the dog's colorless form.
