Genevieve's shift was over, finally. She threw off her apron and left the small coffee shop in search of something more entertaining to do. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her jacket and strolled around town, staring at the stores she walked past.

Calm down, Skylar you're getting overly excited again, I thought. "Okay thanks again, and by the way I'm thirteen." I headed back to the dorm room with my drink in my hand. I wonder if my roommate was here yet, well one way to find out so I opened the door. I noticed a girl sitting on the bed next to mine. "Well hi th-there," before I even finished the sentence I sensed that she was a demon but I tried to act like I didn't know because maybe she didn't know that I was an angel. I know that demons don't like angels but maybe I could change her mind before she finds out I'm an angel. Normal, I thought before speaking again. "S-sorry I'm a little shy around new people, my name is Skylar," I said with a small smile.
