I was relieved but still mad. I was sick and tired of my dumb telekinesis not working and I really feel like punching someone in the face. "I just want to punch something right now," I say thinking aloud.

"I've been hit by worse." Ashcroft said. "I don't mind." He casually said. "Go ahead and take a swing. You'll get better."

"I'm not going to... well," think about this Emily before you say no. When will you ever get the opportunity to punch someone with their permission? "Okay, I guess so," I said and moved my arm as fast and strong as I could.

Ashcroft recoiled slightly as Emily punched him. "Nice effort." He said with a slight cough. "Ok. Now put that effort into what you were doing before."

"Ugh, I hate you, you know that right?" The bracelet was still in the same spot I left it. I closed my eyes because I did not need to see another failed attempt and I concentrated on the bracelet.

"Everyone hates demons. You're no different." Ashcroft said with a soft sigh. "I'm more than used to it. Just keep working. If you can do something this would be the place."

"Can't you take a joke? Geese, I'm not THAT mean," I said. I knew that I was only distracting myself. My dad always told me that you can't have other things on your mind when you're using mind powers. I still kept my eyes closed and pictured the bracelet lifting up from the ground, I hoped it was doing the same thing but I didn't want to look.

Ashcroft sighed as he listened to Emily. "Sure...whatever...you're doing a good job by the way."

"I'm serious," I said as I opened my eyes and heard the bracelet drop to the ground which must mean it was in the air but I didn't care about it anymore. I walked over to him and said, "all you've been is nice to me and I really appreciate it. Okay, I'm not nice to many people or anyone really but..." I really didn't know where I was going with this. "The point is...." What was the point again? Oh yeah, right. "The point is that I didn't mean that I hated you because you were a demon, I hated you because you were right. I mean I wouldn't have been able to do that," I said and motioned to the bracelet, "without you," then quickly added, "-r help." I smiled at him while yelling at myself for acting so stupid and nice.
