"Ok." Ashcroft said as he stood up and stretched. "It might not...well it might be exactly what you expect." He corrected himself. "Just don't let go of me, ok." He said as he waved his hand and a dark pole appeared and grew wider and wider until it was a flat sheet.

"Got it," I said, "oh man this is going to be so cool." I couldn't contain my excitement and I completely forgot that I was suppose to be mean.

Ashcroft stood partially in the gateway and held out his hand. "Just don't let go...at least until I kinda make it better once we're there." He cautiously said. "I can not stress that enough."

"I think I can handle it," I said but I held on to his hand anyways. I've never really liked any kind on human physical contact so to me it feels weird holding someone's hand unless its a simple handshake. I didn't really feel that there would be a need for me to hold his hand. I mean, how bad could it be?

Ashcroft nodded as he slowly pulled Emily in with him. Everything unoccupied by an object was pure darkness. He looked around and nodded as he saw some minute crystals float around and picked through them with his free hand. His mouth opened as he seemed to talk but no words were heard in the cold mute world of his. Then the floor turned to a light blue sheen of water and the air took a clear appearance. "This will do." He said as the area seemed to warm up slightly and he let go of Emily.

Even though he would be able to hear me talk now, again I was at a loss of words. I was glad that we were done with the hand holding because that probably freaked me out more than the actual dimension. After a few moments when I was finally able to form words I said, "I don't know if it's something about you Ashcroft but whenever I'm with you then I don't know what to say. And I ALWAYS have something to say."

"I kind of surmised that last part." Ashcroft said as he planted a large crystal in the water. "I just had to make this realm more habitable to you, atmosphere of breathable air and a good amount of gravity. Would have killed you otherwise." He explained. "I can do whatever I want here, spend years here and come back to be greeted by the same person, or even count to three and come back years later...so what would you like to try here. It's been a while since I had a guest."

Immediately one thing came to my mind and one thing only. I wanted to be able to use my telekinesis. "Well, you see I sorta have a problem with one of my powers," I started. Was I really going to tell this all to a complete stranger? "It's just... I know that I have the power because my dad has it and I can feel it start to work but... I haven't really gotten the hang of it yet. Do you think it would work in here?" I guess the answer was yes. I fiddled with my same green bracelet that I've tried time and time again to lift it into the air but it will only slightly move. Maybe my telekinesis will finally work.

"Well...only because I make it so. I can't do the same out there." Ashcroft said after some thought. "So in the big picture...no, I can't really help but you could pratice I suppose. Just don't move the crystals..." he cautioned as he grabbed one of the small ones floating around and handed it to Emily. "This might help. Keep in contact with it." He said as he held out his arm and a grandfather clock zoomed into view. "And please don't break anything."

"I'm not making any promises," I said and held onto the crystal. I took off my green bracelet and put it on the ground. "Here goes nothing," I said as I concentrated on the bracelet. I watched it do the same number I've seen a thousand times. It shakes as if there's an earthquake and right when you think it will do something amazing it stops. "Ugh," I said and threw the small crystal out of my hand with frustration. "Whoops," I said as I realized what I just did.
