"Mind if I shop with you?" I asked. The truth was, I didn't really like to be alone in this town. With all of the humans, and the way I reacted last time when I met one then I know I need someone to for me. This was a huge step for me moving here so young, I don't think I was ready for it, but I can't go back to my parents and let them think I failed. I smiled nicely at Zane, even though I was thinking about how much I missed my parents and brother.

"Hmmm...so that's what I saw." Ashcroft said with a yawn. "Well for a even more direct answer. I'm a demon. But due to my nature I'm not compelled to do bad, or good. I exist without feeling, happiness, sadness, anger, none of it. I exist to exist." He explained. "The first of my kind...well when it was a sin anyway. Acedia is mostly forgotten but that's what I am. I don't really do anything...but it happens anyway. I look like the average age of wich it afflicts the most."

Tale grew up in this quiet town not knowing about his fire abilities, or his speed. by his sophomore year in high school he began noticing his speed when he excelled beyond the highest expectations of his coach, and his parents finally told him about his power, both he and his parents were surprised about him breathing fire however, now that he is starting college he has complete control over the speed ability, but not the fire and often sets himself of his surroundings on fire

I walked over to the produce section first and found some fresh strawberries. "Hmm," I thought aloud, "I wonder what my roommate likes. Any ideas of what food I should get?" I asked and turned around to look at Zane.

"Oh," I said. This is probably one of the first times I've ever been speechless. I finished eating my tomatoes and fish, which is a really weird food combination, and looked at him. "So, do you have any cool powers or is your only power being boring and confusing?" I asked.

"Well...I can fly...control electricity and I am in complete control of a dimension." Ashcroft said casually. As he finished his last fish. "I set the rules there and pretty much do whatever there. No real reason to though so I just keep some interesting things."
