Lilley jolted awake. She couldn't sleep in water for a long time. She pushed the hatch open and slipped out, stumbling to her feet in the darkness. She saw the moonlight streaming through the window on the door, and unlocked it, walked out, got the key, closed it, and locked it. Lilley trotted down the sidewalk to the dorms, now wide awake. She heard a thump and jumped, her eyes widening and her face fins flaring out again with fear. Seeing someone run down to the lake, she ran after and slowed to a stop at the edge and watched the person swim, her eyes narrowing as she wiggled out of her clothes and dived in.

Lilley followed Amaroq, her tail turning into a curious blue while her eyes bloomed into a bright neon yellow. She hovered by Amaroq, her gills fluttering. She quickly marked in the sand.

What are you doing down here so late?

"I like being here." He said making a face like that.

Katania & Amika
"Get up, I wanna show you something." She threw a sweater and Amika's tennis shoes at her friend.
"It's like, midnight," she said with a glance at her clock. "Where on earth would you take me to this late?"
"Just get up." Kat laughed and got off her bed and pullled on a sweater, and her knee high brown boots. She went outside and waited for Amika to come. When she did, she led the two through a secret pathway back to the town. Even though they were breaking curfew (big time), Kat wasn't to worried about it. They reached to the end of the secret path and saw the glisten of the moonlight on the lake. A small figure stirred its motionless movement, much closer to shore.
"That's..." Amika trailed off. "Can we go now?"
"Why in such a hurry?" Kat asked her and waved, hoping one of the two would notice and therefore stop Amika from going back to the dorm.

He struggled to go up. Finally, when he went up, he gasped and coughed. He looked at the world around him. It was dark and a bit frightening.
