Caleb ran upstairs at the sound of the scream, kneeling beside Max. "It's okay.." He whispered gently. "Really, Max. It's okay.."

[Ayato ototochan]

Max
He peeked out from under the covers and looked at Caleb with dull eyes "d...daddy was angry...he was really angry..." He said in a childish tone and was quivering

[shybot]

Caleb cradled Max's head, looking slightly concerned. "I'm sorry," he said, and his phone buzzed again, making Caleb gulp a little - as he knew who it was.

[Ayato ototochan]

Max
He continued quivering "h...he was scary looking. His...his eyes were cold and angry..." He whimpered childishly as he wasn't in the right frame of mind as the nightmare spooked him and brought him back to when he was younger.

[shybot]

Caleb didn't want to, but he used a spell on Max to calm him a little, eyes flashing a bright gold as he did. "It's okay," he said.

[little_light]

Scythe got up and paced. She then watched the scientist as he went on rambling about random things.

Max
He continued quivering until he felt a sudden calmness overcome his fear. He visibly relaxed some and looked at his brother silently for a moment before he jumped out of the covers and hugged him but was still silent. He nuzzled his chest feeling even more calmness drape over him.

Scout drooped a little, head pounding. Her eyes glazed over a little, and she sighed.

Caleb hugged him back, rubbing his brother's hair lightly. "It's okay, just relax.."

He nodded and squeezed his eyes shut letting everything melt away.

Scythe quickly grabbed her in a set of talons and brought her back to the caves, along with the scientist, for they would finish him off later.
