"Ender!" She cried when he was shot at.

Ender:
I gently take the gun and sit him at the table, giving him food. then i gently remove the bullet from my stomach in another room, cleaning it.

Caroline
She didn't want to leave the stranger alone but there wasn't much he could do. She popped into the other room and helped Ender clean his wound and dress it.

Ender:
I wince as she helped and forced a smile.

Caroline
"You don't need to force a smile. Some moments don't need smiles." She replied, finishing off by putting a bandage around his torso(?).

Ender:
"Better then frowning."

Caroline
"Yeah, I know." She replied, standing up to wash her hands.

Christine copied Elena the best she could and gave Rudy a quick pet. They seem friendly enough so she wasn't really worried.

"Good. Now the slightly harder part. The saddle." She said picking it up and swinging it on Sandy's back. It was a light saddle, meant for kids so she could lift it as they were normally heavy. She talked Christine through step by step of how to put it on correctly.

I kiss her lightly
